Depends on the sort of Christmas ahead in practice, but I hate all the commercialisation and wish for the days long ago of bonfires, family local so see people in bits not en masse, special food, help for those in need...

It is set at Christmas and it's a good yarn.

Are you by any chance a two TV household MiniMoon or have a decent lap top to disappear upstairs and watch/listen to what you want or vice versa? It solves a lot. Sure, if you want to watch all stuff together then thats difficult.

Personally I would pop the schmalzy one upstairs but.....

One of the nicest Christmas films I have seen is called The Christmas Train, adapted from a novel by David Baldacci(sp) who usually writes detective/ thriller type books.
Yes it is soppy in that there is love element and the setting is unbelievably gorgeous but it is feel good and has a splendid cast.
Try to catch it if is repeated during “the holiday season”.
