I’m noticing far fewer people moaning or complaining about the heat even although temperatures, at least hereabouts, are close to what they were a couple of weeks ago. Admittedly the nights and early mornings have been fresher and some days there’s been a pleasant breath of wind and that’s made a huge difference.
But apart from that, have we perhaps also adapted and adjusted our lifestyle ? Curtains shut, windows opened while it’s cool, shut when it warms up, walking on the shady side of the street, no midday or afternoon dog walks, given up on our lawns ( mine is like walking on crisp packets) cool comfort over fashion and (in my case) a distinctly under-used cooker?
I think this is traditionally one of our problems, the frequent variations in the weather have meant that just as we get used to it, it changes again - a bit like other times of the year when we sometimes seem to get 3 if not 4 seasons in one day!
I’m hoping this is the case- as it looks as if there’s more to come 🌞🌞🌞🌞
