Good morning from the east coast and a clear blue sky but very chilly.

I’ve just come in from sitting outside early listening to the birds with my bird i.d app.

This afternoon we are shopping in our nearby market town. DH wants to go to the gym this morning. We have an hour’s drive so we won’t be there until the afternoon but we don’t need to rush back. I fancy a new dressy blouse to wear with new white jeans i have. We will have a good meal out before heading home i love pizza express.

Enjoy your day today with moments of joy🌼

Ginny enjoy your day today as you celebrate your Golden Wedding anniversary and any other events you have planned🎉

Happy anniversary Ginny!🌹

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

I think the day will be slightly warmer than yesterday.

The WI Afternoon Tea event was fun yesterday. An interesting talk followed by a delicious tea.

A potential window cleaner is popping round at 8.30 am. What is it with window cleaners? They just stop coming with no explanation.

I have a bit of shopping to do. Younger son is coming for the weekend and wants to make a fish pie.

I should pop round to a friend’s too. She has offered me some grass seed to fill the bald patch on the back lawn.

Have a good day.

Good morning from a a calm cloudy
Morecambe Bay. Congratulations Ginny on your Golden anniversary.
As the urgent recall on the car has been cancelled today has nothing planned though I’m thinking of gardening my plot at church. I haven’t done it for a while as I was expecting scaffolding and boots to ruin it,
but the scaffolding has gone up on the west side so I’ve no excuse!
Take care everyone 🌸

Good morning from a sunny and warm S E Essex

The 11 yr old put his breakfast order in last night (egg and bacon sandwich) he also requested a packed lunch, so that’s me busy for the next hour.

Have decided not to go to the gym, my breathing is still not up to par and I need to be sensible. Have a nail appointment later this morning, will go to that. DH has booked a table this evening in one of my favourite Italian Restaurants, which I am looking forward to.

Enjoy your anniversary ginny 🥂🍾

Hoping our morning friends with illness and worries find some respite 🙋‍♀️

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny and - at the moment - cool South Yorkshire.

Yesterday was a difficult day for me but I thought that I could either spend it wallowing or go out and enjoy the company of friends in one of mine and DH’s favourite places. It was a really lovely walk. Then I got to DD’s and she said “Don’t take your shoes off - I’m taking you out to lunch” so we went to a small bistro that has just opened near to them. The food was delicious. She looked lovely, fresh and cool. I looked like a complete scruff in an old shirt and my walking trousers. We walked there and back, so I truly got my steps in!

I spend the evening writing up my end of year notes for school. Today I have a day to myself because it is sports day at school so I’m not required to go in. I shall take myself off somewhere for a walk - probably to one of the local country parks.

Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Yesterday was busy with an early start at a local eye hospital for DH to have laser treatment. All seems to have gone well.
Today a bit of shopping and lunch out. Not sure if I will get to my little deaf group
Congratulations on your Anniversary * ginny*
Lively skirt and delicious trout gM

Good morning from Malta where the high today is 31°C. It’s still very windy but it’s supposed to subside by mid-day.

Had my Treasures yesterday, poor dgs2 still wasn’t feeling well but he had perked up by the time they went home so I’m hoping he is over the worst and that his brother won’t catch it!

They will be arriving soon and I’ve only just woken up (for the third time) so I’m not ready yet.

I’m trying a hairdresser very close to my place this afternoon as mine is still out of action for several weeks after her surgery. This new one charges 17€ for a blow dry whereas I usually pay only 12€.

So sorry to hear you were poorly yesterday FGT and I hope you are feeling better. Being unwell on your own is hard. 😢💐

Lovely skirt grandMattie, and I’d love the trout if someone else cooked it!😄

Haven’t seen much tennis with having the boys but I’m not bothered, I’d rather have their company any day.

By the way, I bought myself a birthday present. My favourite way to exercise with the a/c going! Photo for reference!😄

Wishing you all a good day. ☀️

Good morning.
Today is our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Married in that long hot summer of ‘76. We’ve had our ups and downs but still jogging along. No plans for today but Something is happening a few days after we return from this holiday
Wishing all those with worries and trouble some relief and a good day for all.

Good morning from sunny s somerset

Busy day yesterday, I cut insulation and fitted it to 14 window panes from the inside. An easy but tiring job. I definitely did not want to rush this in hot weather. The insulation will come off and can be stored for summers to come

My new iron came; I only ordered it the day before. I was so pleased and have started to make a new caftan, I did the tricky neck plackets last night

I need to walk uphill again today and I have a lamb curry to make for ready meals. Kitchen needs a tidy too and the blueberries are ripening fast, I am about half way through picking them, for freezing

Love your skirt GM and the trout looks delicious

Melanie61 Fri 03-Jul-26 05:59:57

Good morning from Sheffield
Grandmattie , I love the skirt but not sure about the trout🤣
It looks like another beautiful day today .
Just a normal Friday for me ,working and then coffee with my friend, and then an easy afternoon.
I am crocheting a baby blanket which is proving extremely difficult for some reason. I keep having to pull it out as I have gone wrong. It’s quite frustrating and I shall be glad when it’s finished. I’ve nearly done it.
I hope all went well yesterday Roses
Take care everyoneflowers

Good morning from Belfast where the temperature is 13 rising to 17 so Alexa tells me.
DH got an egg chair for his birthday it's so comfortable I sat on it yesterday and nearly fell asleep. There was a slight breeze and it was slowly moving.
Today I hope to go to the hospital to visit a lady from church she has got very frail and hasn't been out in a while. She has had a fall hence being in hospital.
Then hope to go to the farm shop and from there to Sainsbury's.
A busy day for me.
Take care everyone.

grandMattie Fri 03-Jul-26 05:22:27

Forgot photos. Skirt and trout in no particular order! 😁

grandMattie Fri 03-Jul-26 05:17:38

Good morning from Bristol; the sky is full of streaky light orange clouds. It won’t be too hot today. No rain. We’ve had a very dry year.

FGT, I hope that you are feeling better today. You seem so robust normally.

I ironed the teatowels and linen tablecloths from Wednesday and was interrupted by a resident bringing me a load of brown trout. He fished them from the river Test near Basingstoke. I lived there in my early marriage before we moved to Kent.

I finished my skirt and used the rest to make DD a tablecloth for her garden table. There was 6 yards of fabric per bundle.

Mr. Teflon emailed me to let me know that an order had finally been put in to remove the pyracanthas hedge at the back of me. Yippee ! It is in a terrible condition; dead shrubs, loads of ivy , many trees (sycamore and ash mostly). I once counted 27 different plants of various sizes in it, including an apple from a discarded core.

Today is quiet, but I’m minded to go to Broadmead to get some ribbon to make lavender bottles. Also, I would like to make some pomanders too, seeing I still have so many cloves!

All the best tonthose in sick bay. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
