Just been reading about H&M’s forthcoming proposed visit to the UK with their children, pertaining to the Invictus Games which are due to take place next year.

Apparently, it’s a private visit, and accommodation has been offered to them on a ‘Royal estate’, but no mention of where or if it’s been accepted.

Security issues not revealed, plus whether or not it involves meeting up with the King.

We shall wait and see how it all evolves.

That is what I find curious, from a couple apparently so paranoid about security. Who released the information? Why do we need to know? They were the ones who cut the connection.

Ask the BBC.

There’s also a huge difference about what individuals choose to reveal or make public and being utterly hounded by the media, who make many many people’s lives an abject misery in all walks of life!

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been offered a royal residence to stay in during their visit to the UK with their children next month.
Prince Harry and Meghan will be accompanied by Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five for the family's first trip to the country in four years.
BBC News understands that the family has been offered accommodation on a royal estate but have not yet responded to the invitation.

Prince Harry had already committed to a series of events in the UK next month to mark a year to go to the Invictus Games for injured military personnel. The Games will be hosted in Birmingham next July.“

Btw, The Invictus Games is not Garry’s only achievement is it, 1 Prince Harry served in the British Armed Forces for 10 years, rising to the rank of Captain. He completed officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and undertook two operational tours in Afghanistan, culminating in his formal departure from the military in June 2015.

He also took part, not for the entire trip, in two fundraising exhibitions in the Artic, one for 5 days.

I’m not excusing his previous behaviour, but he’s not a totally lost cause, imo, just gone wildly off track.

It's time to move on, I think. Forgiveness all round, for the sake of the children. I hope the King does get to know his lovely grandchildren properly with regular visits from now on.

And what about the bile they directed against the Royal Family. I dislike them because of that...the late Queen and Prince Philip had to put up with that in their dying days. How can you like someone who , whilst Prince Philip was on his death bed , does an interview with Oprah slating the family. And of course a lot of it proven to be complete lies.
Their egos know no bounds

Whilst I agree their timing was awful, Prince Phillip was hardly a paragon or virtue and I think the Queen with her comment of “some recollections may differ” sums it up very well.

No one really knows what are “lies”, what are recollections, what is the truth, and unless we were there, we will never know.

It’s very clear both Harry and William were damaged by their very public existence, their own parents marital issues and overall relationships, their mother’s very public death and funeral and their subsequent relationship with their father’s new wife.

The intended visit is not due until July 2027, ostensibly for the Invictus Games and it is unclear who released the news. If Charles has invited them so he may see his grandchildren privately, all well and good. Apart from the Invictus Games, Harry's only achievement, I most sincerely hope they do not attend any other public functions.
Fat Chance.

No, I don’t think this is correct.

This visit is next month, apparently in preparation for the Invictus Games, which is next year.

Why would there be discussions about it all if it’s next year being talked about?

It would be nice if the children could reunite with their cousins. They’re caught up in something that’s not of their making.

Yes they are but there are plenty of cousins who never see each other and some who only see each other for weddings and funerals. I don't think they will even think about their cousins much.

I never saw my cousins and I don't think I'm alone in this.
My 5 children only saw their step-cousins at grandparents' events. We had not had a big bust up - just lived different lives in different places.

Just saying. I think we feel this most as older adults hoping for something "happy families" about it.

merlotgran Sat 20-Jun-26 11:12:42

I wouldn’t put them in the same category as Harry’s Uncle.

The King has the Yorks under control. Even Fergie is keeping her head down.

Harry and Meghan are loose cannons. There’s an ulterior motive to everything they do which must be worrying for the Windsors but meat and drink for the media.

Let's hope for peace and steps towards reconciliation..there is too much conflict in the world already.

I completely agree.

I think Meghan was entirely wrong for Harry in so many ways but I think he truly loves her and their children, I think she loves him and their children, but her expectations were totally ludicrous and I’m sad for William and Harry.

All a mess, but there’s families for you.

Many books were written about his parents and both parents did also do awful TV interviews and played out their marital issues in public. All a bit icky really!

Cossy Sat 20-Jun-26 10:58:30

I’m not really bothered one way or another, hope they managed to meet up with King Charles and I do find it just a tad ironic that Andrew is getting his house and assuming expenses paid for by our King and yet Harry and Meghan are so terribly slated.

I don’t think them “going public” was their best move and they acted appallingly in some ways, but I wouldn’t put them in the same category as Harry’s Uncle.

merlotgran Sat 20-Jun-26 10:53:44

It will be interesting see if Meghan is invited into the royal box at Wimbledon to watch her ‘bestie’ Serena play in the doubles with Venus. 🤔

that is what I thought

My opinion is that they are missing being part of the pomp and ceremony taking place , the wedding with all the family, Garter ceremony, Trooping the colour , Ascot.
It must be hard to see all the glamour and not be a part of all the hype.

Something for us all to look forward to 🫣

I personally think that Harry is a star & its a pity that he is sort-of cut adrift, as it were!
His children, from the minute snippets I have seen look beautiful but of course they would, with their parentage.
I cannot understand why so much bile is directed against this little family; Princess Diana would be mortified!

Maybe it is all another chapter for a Book.

If Megan is to meet the king I don’t know how she can face him after all the vitriolic things she has said about the Royal Family. I am guessing that she won’t be meeting the Prince and Princess of Wales!

I imagine she doesnt do shame.
Or apologies.
Or thanks.

And will be a hypocrite regarding security.

I normally barely comment on the two of them.
Maybe I am going too far this time.
Or maybe not.

The arch-grifters must be running out of ideas to make money.
They will make themselves victims again, I guess, then sell their story to some crummy outlet.
Awful pair.

Knitter43 Sat 20-Jun-26 09:38:00

I don't know how they have the nerve to even think of coming here after all they have said.
