WORD ASSOCIATION - 9th May 2026
Something very odd happened to me last week, I won’t go into detail, I probably wouldn’t be believed!
The result of this incident was very rewarding.
It has made me think of huge coincidences and strange things that have happened in my life and I have come to the conclusion I have a Guardian Angel.
I will give you one example, I was selling my Mothers home and needed a key for every window lock (solicitors demand).
I had two keys for the whole house and the locks were all different, I scrabbled about in my garage and had some keys copied but was left with the kitchen window and no key.
It was the final job before exchange and I was very stressed.
I called a double glazing guy who said he could help but wanted an £80 call out so I declined and tried to figure out a plan!
2 hours later I went to pull out of my Mothers drive and a van was blocking my way, it was the double glazing man I had called earlier, he was lost!
He found a key on the van refused any payment although I insisted and I directed him to his customer.
A lucky coincidence or my Guardian Angel?

Oreo..........someone jumped in and saved him. They're called Earth Angels and they do exist.
Ok so just badly injured and traumatised then?
What about the lovely baby boy recently killed by the paedophile teachers ? And any cruelly murdered child or adult?
Or those who die in horrific crashes, or accidents or of illnesses.
Sometimes we have lucky escapes in life or coincidences or are saved by other humans or even animals, but it’s illogical to think that we personally have a guardian angel preserving our lives yet other people sadly don’t.
Oreo Or baby Preston’s 🥲🥲🥲
Shinamae and Moomoo, good of you both to be honest about your situations.Sounds like you are both doing well and deserve admiration.
I definitely have a lovely guardian angel. Can't give specific examples of when he/she has helped me, but I often to talk to them to ask for help - like last year when my daughter was having chemo, and the previous year she had been in a bad car crash. Mine really does help me I promise and will help me feel calm when I am in panic mode and things like that!
Serendipity, surely?

I feel as though someone who loves me is watching over me, I like to think it’s my Dad.
I’m often saved from a small scrape and sometimes a bigger one.
Recently I was walking to the shop and realised I didn’t have my bank card. I turned on my heel, within seconds I realised I did have it in my phone case after all. As I turned back a car ran out of control and mounted the pavement exactly where I would have been without the moment of hesitation.
Thanks Dad.
The opposite happened to a friend of mine. She was driving along the road when she had some sort of cerebral event and her car went out of control. It mounted the pavement and knocked down a girl of 16.
As a result this poor girl lost a leg .
No intervention from guardian angels there I'm afraid.

well I guess you either believe or you don`t,, I believe
I believe too.
My brother was seriously injured after a car accident. He was in ICU, hooked up to all sorts of monitoring equipment. Touch and go.
A few years later he told me that on the first night, when he was drifting in and out of consciousness, there was a dark shadow of someone sitting in one of the chairs in the corner of the room. He couldn't see any features but said he felt warmth and love flowing from them. He later thanked his partner for staying with him all night, the partner said he hadn't stayed and the nursing staff said he was on his own. My brother - a total non-believer in 'silly stuff about afterlife, angels, etc' now believes it was his Guardian Angel looking over him. So yes, I believe in Guardian Angels.
If I do...I wish they'd show up 😭
Yes we all have guardian angels and spirit guides. Even from before birth.
No guardian angel here. Just a unicorn who lives in the garden shed .
There are some things you can’t explain and really don’t want to. Yes I believe in guardian angels but can’t explain it.

Oreo, as I said AA got me sober but some of their doctrine I did not agree with for instance this higher Power thing
I had been in a few months when I did start questioning it, I said I knew what I was doing every time I took a drink. I knew that I would be in trouble of some sort and that was me taking a drink and knowing what the repercussions would be.
So I then said what about a 14 year-old girl who is walking home from school cuts through the park and gets raped and murdered. Where was her higher Power?
And of course they couldn’t answer that..
Also another thing is “we will not regret the past or wish to shut the door on it”, well I can tell you I do regret a lot of my past, I live with it because I can do nothing about it but I have a lot of regret especially the way I treated people when I was in active alcoholism but that’s just me AA was lifeline for me. It really really was and it is for thousands of people, but that’s my true experience of it.
I do feel I’ve got to be honest about this…🥹
And there are steps in the AA program to help you to deal with what you’ve done in the past, but that never worked for me but I know it does work for thousands of people…
I do believe a guardian angel and it’s my aunt May. She used to pray for me all the time when I was drinking And was absolutely mortified when I was arrested for drunk and disorderly and it was in the local paper (I was 18 and apparently said to the policeman haven’t you got anything better to do than a go around arresting18-year-old girls for being drunk)and that was in the paper, I remember, I had a 10 shilling fine…those were the days…🥹
I had a weird experience just after my Dad passed away. We were with him at the Hospice and I had to send an urgent text about another matter. The predictive text on my phone changed one of the words to ‘graveyard’. Dad wanted to be buried, rather than cremated.
Shinamae and MooMOO
Thank you for your candour.
I’m sure it’s not easy recalling such dark times.
I’m not a spiritual person and consider myself a non believer. However, many years ago I was at a very low point in my life. I was reading the newspaper one morning while my children finished getting ready for school, and I distinctly heard a whispering voice in my ear that said ‘bless you’. It sent shivers down my spine and I can still hear it now. One of our cats jumped up and began arching his back and hissing at something. My life did pick up and I feel blessed in many ways. I do think that’s coincidental, but there’s a little niggle very deep down ……
Yes I most definitely have a Guardian Angel.I am also an alcoholic in recovery,I have been sober and a member of AA for over 23 years.I am not a believer in God.
I should have been dead many times over when I was in active alcoholism. But here I am a Great Grandmother now and living a peaceful happy life.
Shinamae 😃well done for beating your alcohol addiction, am sure it was really hard to do.💐
I must say a word or two about ICU and hallucinations. It’s very common to have them and think you’re seeing ghosts or angels but it’s the drugs they give you while you’re hooked up.When my Dad was in there, after he was well enough to go back to a ward, someone from the ICU came up to see him and actually said, ‘ hope your hallucinations were good ones’ 😲 Dad was relieved and admitted he had been seeing things.
Those of you who believe and find it a comfort that they have helped you in whatever way then so be it, personally I don’t believe in angels but 🧚🏼♀️ fairies now thats another matter entirely 😆
I do keep a very open mind about most things, as here we are on a planet turning around while orbiting a sun in a universe we know little about, even now, and the universes beyond about which we know nothing.
But it simply doesn’t make sense to think that I have a guardian angel ready to save me from illness, accident or death when all around me including children and babies are facing and experiencing those very things.
I don’t like raining on your parade if you believe such a thing but I ask you to sit down and logically think about it.
I absolutely do not believe in Guardian Angels, we all have one allegedly, almost as a shadow that would be looking over our shoulders to keep us safe. This was one of the many misnomers fed to us at my catholic junior school when we very young children, too young to have the informed knowledge as to whether that could be true. We know very well it isn't.
I think luck and amazing coincidence can come into play in some situations. I also believe people can possibly have supernatural experiences, maybe hallucinatory, maybe not.
