Good morning all from a showery Glasgow, where it is 10°C.

Bella, your courtyard looks so cool , in both meanings of the word.
My P.P would love your feature of Our Lady.

Yesterday, I emptied the linen cupboard again. After clearing it out the other day, something was stopping the door closing.
It took me all day to empty and put back together again, having to take frequent rests.
I also managed to change the leather strap on DH's watch. It was so fiddly and my dexterity is poor.
I refuse to pay £20 to a jeweller. I will change a battery in one of mine's today.

Today will be a quiet one, DH is very subdued and not feeling great.
I am still in the throes of an RA flare up, it makes life so difficult, but I need to be the strong one, physically and mentally.
They other day, I knocked over my mug tree of necklaces. Two amethyst necklaces, which I had made during my jewellery making days, snapped, I will need to repair them. I always found working with semi precious stones so satisfying, such a pity, I can no longer do delicate work, but I like the necklace and plan to do it today.
I have many jars of beads, but cannot bear to dispose of them

GaGa, I hope you get better news of your brother and Ashcombe, that the ECG results are O.K. it is always nerve wracking, waiting for results.
I was fortunate a few months ago, to be told there and then, by the ECG technician, that ECG results were almost identical to the previous one.

Wishing you all a pleasant day and thank you all for the best wishes and P.Ms.

Mine, not mine's, that's a Glasgow thing.🤭

Morning all from West Oxfordshire,

I’ve woken up with back ache again . So annoying.

I will spend the morning listening to two lectures from the V&A on Art Deco. After lunch I should finally get around to trying out my new sewing machine.

Thinking about Mr MD. I’ve had three colonoscopies over the last few years. They showed nothing more sinister than diverticulitis and polyps, which they zapped.

Have a good day everyone. There seems to be much sadness at the moment. At least the weather should be back to flaming June over the weekend!

Good morning it’s another grey day here in S E Essex.

I have fed the boys, now they are dressing for school. The Imp came in at 5am for a ^Grandma cuddle*💤💤💤

I am off to the farm shop and supermarket as my food cupboards, fridge and freezer are depleted 😹

They go home after school Friday.

DS4’s children are being dropped off here at 8.30am Saturday until late Sunday evening (GD 9 & GS 7). This means gymnastics training, swimming pool birthday party along with an inflatable day/summer fete at the local school (The Imp’s and 11yr old)

I may spend Monday in bed 😹

Good morning from yet another rainy Black Country!

Didn't do a lot yesterday as still trying to recover from this cold. Did a Covid test, but that was negative thankfully.

Should be on my Thursday walk today, but don't feel up to it, plus it's raining.

Mum has a Cleaner starting today, found through Age Concern, so need to ring her near the time to remind her. Hoping all goes ok...she asked the last one to leave!!

May start looking at what clothes to pack for our holiday next week.

Good to see you posting Monk hopefully see you at the next Birmingham meet up.

Wishing you all the best day possible

Lft, I am hoping the cause is polyps. He has absolutely no symptoms, apart from the weight loss.

Good morning everyone from a damp Northampton, heavy rain forecast today.

Must have a shower and hairwash shortly as DS is coming at 10ish to help with a few tasks involving heavy lifting. Then I have a load of towels in the washing machine.

Then a quick very early lunch and out to provide moral support for a friend at a talk on living with dementia which she has organised. It is at a new venue - a big retirement village - which I shall be interested to see. One of my neighbours is also coming with us, as her husband is in the early stages of dementia.

Then it's Bolognese for dinner tonight, which I must remove from the freezer.
Lovely outside space, Bellasnana.

Thinking of our struggling friends and hope you have the best day you can.

Redcar use a soft sweeping brush and/or maybe a strongly magnetic pin holder

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a wet, chilly South Yorkshire. I’m late on parade this morning. A broken night until I finally fell asleep.

We had very heavy showers all day yesterday but fortunately the afternoon was spent in the library with writer’s group, critiquing old stuff and having a quick twenty minute scribble.
The sun came out at tea time and I had a short walk under a clear blue sky!

The family phoned in the evening from their hotel in Athens. They have a busy day of tours today. Last week, when GS was here with me, we had a long conversation about classical Greece, which has been one of my favourite subjects since I was at school, and I have read much since. I wonder how much of it he will remember! I was surprised at how much I remembered!

It’s too wet to go walking today so I will go to the gym and then, if they have them in stock, go to our last remaining camera outlet to buy some new binoculars. I need some I can put in my pocket.

Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning everyone from a very wet and cool south Manchester. This weather at this time of year is just depressing isn’t it? I feel sorry for anyone on holiday in the UK right now.

I’m meeting a friend for coffee in the square this morning then after lunch a couple we’ve been friends with for 40 years are picking me up for a drive out to enjoy drinks at a nice pub not too far away.

What to wear? A dilemma all its own in this changeable weather!

Now to make a second TiB and read all your posts.

Good morning from rainy South Lanarkshire.

I feel like a wet rag this morning having had a particularly bad time with a medical condition which is often troublesome at night.

Rushing off to our usual childminding day and I have to pick up prescriptions as soon as the pharmacy opens.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from a dullish Cornwall
Lovely day yesterday with DD and sister. We took the train to St.Ives with beautiful views and had a delicious lunch overlooking the breaking waves, sea bream for me.

We leave this morning and have been truly blessed with the weather. Although chilly at times, we have had lots of sun. I will spend tonight in Berkshire before returning north tomorrow. My sister will return to London.

Marzipan you do live in a beautiful part of the country!

Thoughts to all.

Good morning from Durham. It’s dry, but 100% forecast rain. I haven’t read the thread yet.
Coffee with a friend today, then I’m taking DGS2’s laundry back and I’ll get some of my bits and bobs I left after his party.
Despite the house sale being completed at the end of May, the purchasers have raised issues with their Solicitor. Nothing ever seems simple?
I’m over-doing the housework, as I’m going away on Saturday and I want to leave a clean, tidy house to return to.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning everyone from a very rainy Anglesey.
Not had time to read today yet and no time to post but just wanted to send kind thoughts to those who have family or personal worries.
Take care. 🌻

Good morning from a rainy Cornwall. Have had a hectic couple of days firefighting on the phone for a family member first thing in the morning, hence my absence or lateness.

Today I have a lovely treat. A dear friend is taking me to a very posh hotel for afternoon tea as a thank you for helping her with her art. As I wear only jeans or hippy trousers I'll have to go Hippy and hope they let me in.

I slipped on some water on Tesco's floor two days ago and went down hard so my latest replacement knee is awfully sore!

I've seen that cottage hollysteers. Yes, it's gorgeous living in Cornwall. I asked a friend the other day if she was planning a holiday and she said, 'No need, I'm on holiday all the time here.' 😂

Redcar Thu 11-Jun-26 10:43:03

Thank you for the suggestions karma, I’ve tried those, but the floor is a bit cluttered at the moment and I think it may be under the sideboard! An incentive to clear the floor I think!

Monk, please keep posting. What might seem mundane to you, is interesting to others.
We are all so different, I am a nosy so and so and enjoy reading the news here.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 11-Jun-26 11:20:59

Monk mundane sounds flipping marvellous to me, if only…
