Tennis music!

What I hate is the fact they let spectators in all the way through the game. Only the front few rows (in the players eye line) are exempt. You can’t help noticing people coming up the steps and finding their seats every few minutes. It’s quite distracting.

Yes and I also remember the days when, if one was late for the theatre, you were not let in and had to wait until the break!

I get really cross when people come in after shows, plays etc have started!

I find this annoying, I love tennis but I also dislike the loud noises everyone appears to feel compelled to make after every shot!

It’s to keep the Spectators awake I think.

Many American holiday camps have music around their swimming pools, some live singing, and we even had a Snake 🐍 demo in Orlando where you could hold them if you wanted.

This type of music bombardment is now ubiquitous at lots of events. It is as though people now become anxious with quietness and need to be reassured. And is expected by them wherever they go.

It also the same with a lot of conversations that are conducted at top pitch in public places with no regard for anyone else

Some people must be brain dead and probably don't even hear overly loud booming music. I'm convinced they some also have some kind of now commonly accepted hearing,attention and concentration problems.

And they seem to be really switched off.

This is not mean as a put down at people who do suffer from medically recognised and diagnosed conditions.

Was at a local shopping centre just before the last local council elections. All the parties had their stalls set out trying to get attention.

I walked up to one stall of a new party who l can't remember the name of. To find out what they were about.

Started talking to a young man from the party and within 10 seconds an older man from the party had put on a really loud booming piece of music.

I couldn't hear what the young was saying. Apologised and just walked away.

I have emailed Queens and told them to scrap the music! Nothing ventured

Totally agree!All started in US trying to hype up crowds... It's awful... As for Queens they need to ivest in a retractable roof on the Andy Murray Court. Day 3 and so few games have been played due to rain!

Sorry Monday not yesterday

We were at Queens yesterday when it rained all day till 5pm

Not very amused when they were playing songs like “I can’t stand the rain”!

They'd better not!!!!

DH has just said, “I hope they don’t have this music at Wimbledon”. Me too!

At least the music is between games.

Unlike the incessant wittering that the female commentators feel we need without drawing breath, it seems, at every stage of the match.

I find it annoying, too - and they do it at other sports events like athletics. It's as if people are unable to cope with quiet...

I hate it too. Thank goodness Wimbledon has defied the trend, at least so far.

I said that very same thing to my Dh yesterday.
Absolutely unnecessary!

What is the point of it?!

I think it must be very off-putting for the players as well especially those who like to meditate a bit during the changeover.

Hate it. I have to turn the sound off!
