Lots of speculation here as to how he got his shiner. Did some one give him a smack in the face ? Must have been a left hander . Not that it matters but many would have liked to ! They don’t like him much here.

If money for silence was paid why write it book ?

Maremia Wed 10-Jun-26 15:20:14

Didn't someone think it was worth £12 million to buy silence?

Anniebach Wed 10-Jun-26 15:12:25

I think he is being demonised and so will await charges brought, not allegations in books

Iam64 Wed 10-Jun-26 11:33:28

No I don’t think he’s being easily demonised. My impression is there have been valid discussions about his behaviour.

ExDancer Wed 10-Jun-26 10:55:30

The reason I posted the photo of me after minor surgery was to show the bruising that can arise from even minor surgery. Its possible Andrew MW has had similar.
(it wasn't to garner sympathy for myself, but thanks anyway smile )
We are becoming too eager to demonise him don't you think?

Why on earth they chose him as an envoy I can’t imagine. Couldn’t think of anyone worse. Maybe because he was bored and needed something to do, I don’t know. As to him being a scapegoat , well that’s a joke. Maybe Epstein and that dreadful woman of his are, too under that thinking.

Apparently the Queen pushed for Andrew to take up this post.

It offered him the opportunity to freeload his way all over the globe.

He is now under investigation for passing on classified information.

Mummy made sure Andrew, her favourite, got what he wanted...probably one of the few mistakes Her Majesty made in her lifetime.

The man is a grifter, heartlesss and entitled and I for one would like to see him jailed.

I read in a newspaper today it was a possibility he has dementia, which can increase risk of falling. A bit convenient, he won't have to answer any questions.

some of us will remember Ernet Saunders of Guiness fame. Released after a few months in prison because of Alzheimers. Bless him, miraculous recover and he's still alive now at the age of 90.

OldFrill Tue 09-Jun-26 18:41:01

Skye17 At the very least he slept with a 17-year-old girl without caring about whether she had been coerced or about the effect on her, although he had daughters of a similar age. That’s sleazy although, in the UK, legal

If she was coerced/trafficked "age of consent" is irrelevant.

It’s the old saying - when someone shows you who they are, believe and don’t forget

Skye17 Tue 09-Jun-26 16:32:44

Right.

A scapegoat is an innocent person who is punished instead of a guilty person. Andrew MW is not innocent. At the very least he slept with a 17-year-old girl without caring about whether she had been coerced or about the effect on her, although he had daughters of a similar age. That’s sleazy although, in the UK, legal.

Virginia Guiffre alleged that Andrew and Epstein had taken part in an orgy with about 9 young girls on Epstein Island. She said the girls appeared to be under 18.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1e3leqx89zo?app-referrer=deep-link As the age of consent is 18 in that area, if this is true AMW did break the law.

Personally I believe her, and I think he probably did other similar things. I doubt those were isolated incidents.

Maremia Tue 09-Jun-26 16:00:45

Scapegoat? Do posters think AMW should be let off simply because no-one else is being investigated, at the moment?
Trump won't be in power forever. The Epstein Files may be properly accessed in the future.
Should AMW be excused until then?
I don't think so.

Basgetti today 10:31. (Website won’t let me quote.)

Maxwell and Epstein used a combination of carrot and stick to entrap their victims - promises of help and threats. Maxwell used to park her car outside middle schools and chat to girls, looking for likely victims. I think I read that in Andrew Lownie’s biography, Entitled.

(I am quite sceptical about reliable sources, but I think most of this book is probably accurate.)

Virginia Guiffre was only 16 when she was drawn into their web. www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1e3leqx89zo?app-referrer=deep-link
Not just a call girl, but a coerced teenager handed out to Epstein‘s powerful friends like sweeties.

She may well not have been the only one Epstein offered to Andrew MW:
Second Epstein victim claims she was sent to UK for sex with Andrew, lawyer says www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clymxxlm3xzo

Did Andrew care about the welfare of this young girl the age of his daughter? Evidently not.

He does not look like a scapegoat to me.

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 09-Jun-26 12:48:23

Ouch, ExDancer, that looks painful. I am glad to hear that it was temporary.

Maremia Tue 09-Jun-26 12:10:45

My goodness, and hoping it is all back to normal.

ExDancer Tue 09-Jun-26 10:45:14

This was the (temporary) result of my having a tiny malignant mole removed from my face

2001.

//Giuffre … wrote a book before her death in which she detailed her account of the night Andrew allegedly sexually abused her in March 2001.

When Andrew arrived at Maxwell’s London townhouse they played “a game” that Maxwell enjoyed, Giuffre claimed; asking guests to guess Giuffre’s age. Giuffre alleged that Andrew “guessed correctly” and remarked: “My daughters [Eugenie and Beatrice] are just a little younger than you.” She claimed she slept with the duke that night//

🤮
Oh good grief, it gets worse. How sick is that?

Maremia Tue 09-Jun-26 06:02:10

About a 'sick' man.

If he slept with a 17year old who was the same age as his daughter how long ago was this ?

semperfidelis Mon 08-Jun-26 18:14:04

Cossy

I do think he deserves a good slap though!

Hasn't he been punished enough?

Usedtobeblonde Mon 08-Jun-26 17:55:28

When my H was on warfarin and then Apixaban he frequently bruised at the slightest knock.
He fell one day and broke a finger, in minutes his hand and past his wrist looked as if he had dipped it in a vat of blueblack ink.
