They were not purchased with SNP funds but in 2020 Murrell bought 108 toilet rolls just prior to his then wife telling the rest of us not to go out and panic buy supermarket goods! 💩
Burnhams likely economic policies if he becomes PM
Good to see her standing up for herself and refusing to accept blame for a crime committed by her husband.

Sounds more like he's got some sort of mental health problem resulting in weird shopping behaviour, rather than it being straight forward theft - no real attempts to hide money or anything. Hopefully he'll get some help not just a prison sentence.
She may be technically innocent. But not noticing the flood of swag surely disqualifies her from being competent to perform as a political leader. It’s her JOB to notice things.
I agree that he's not well. Apart from anything else the stress of living with having stolen so much for so many years must have eaten him up. He must have known it was only a matter of time after the finance committee members walked out.

They say that London is a lovely city.
She will probably enjoy her stay there.
But she hates the English 🏴
Oh dear Mollygo 🤣🤣🤣
I wonder where all this stuff was kept?
Their hoose!
Motor home!
Mils hoose!
Reminds me of when I was a kid watching ‘The Generation game’
That thing they did at the end to win all those gadgets.
I wondered then, as a child, where were these winners going to store all that stuff?
So I find it hard to believe that she didn’t know what was going on 🤷♀️
I googled Murrell’s income and he was on £ 80Kish (declared)for the embezzlement period and in 2011 £109k apparently and that’s just HIS money.
The police found that Sturgeon had no case to answer. This was indeed a high earning household and you’d expect a man of his “status” to drive a decent car that could have been leased and possibly a benefit in his salary package (taxable of course).
She shouldn’t be tarred with the brush of his crimes. Betrayal doesn’t even begin to cover this.
Yes I imagine the whistleblowers within the SNP feel quite betrayed.

He probably could have afforded some of this stuff without the need to steal
A pen at £1k for using at work. The necklace was purchaded in Shetland when Nicola was on an official visit. Nicola was on another part of tge shop when Peter told the owner, "I'm the man with the money" and paid over £800 for the necklace. How many coffee machines can a household of two go through? They weren't married all that long and one cost £4k. Makes you wonder if she wasn't curious about how the luxuries were being funded did she understand funding of a country. Certainly not the legal contracting procedure for the ferries.
AGAA4 The motorhome was purchased with cash. And people saw Nicola visiting her MiL when tge motorhome was parked there. Never used as a campaign vehicle.
“Murrell’s main avenue for spending was his misuse of SNP charge cards.
The cards were linked to the party’s bank account and meant to be only used for items the SNP needed but Murrell used his charge card, as well as secretly using those of two other staff members, to buy goods for himself.
Over 600 items, mostly from Amazon, were bought using the card, but it also paid for the £37,500 motorhome deposit and a £30 parking ticket.”
“In order to support his false expense claims, Murrell also created fake invoices to make it look like the goods he bought for himself were for use by the SNP.
This was the case when he was trying to explain why the Jaguar car and motorhome had been partly paid for by cash he directly transferred from the SNP bank account.”

for info.

I'd just like to know why has she decamped to London, surely England and it's capital site of the loathed WESTMINSTER would be the last place in her sights as somewhere to park herself
If you look at FB you may see why she has moved to Westminster. She is getting pelters on there or I should say both of them are.

I don't think there is hard evidence to claim that she was complicit in these thefts. It must be awful for her to know that many people will think she was involved and it is not fair to say that. However, it certainly demonstrates a lack of attention and a lack of judgment - particulary because when she was questioned about the state of the party's finances she said they were in good order. Surely she should have investigated the situation before providing such reassurance?
If there was one thing Nicola Sturgeon was hot on was her control on the SNP. It was always her way or the highway. That's been well known for a very long time. So for someone who was/is a control freak I doubt very much that she didn't know something was going on. What she may not have understood was the extent of it. However, she is a solicitor and she signed off on the finance statements as well as the treasurer (can't remember his name) and peter Murrell.

It seems the house which was jointly owned will have to be sold or Nicola will have to buy his half so that the monies go towards repayment for that which Murrell embezelled. Maybe she will have to hand over the pendant as well.
I only watched part of the Laura Kuenssberg interview yesterday but Nicola Sturgeon said that she would be keeping the presents her husband gave her.
I had to Google pelters. How will moving to London avoid that? Surely they have FB there too?
I don't know what or who pelters are? People who chuck things at whoever they have in their sights
Maremia
Well, the good news is that the SNP appears to have bounced back without her. 😃
Only because the announcement of Peter Murrell being charged was delayed until after the election. Maybe their diehard followers would have changed their minds.
Also I'm not on FB

I've just read that Murrell stole from Salmond when he worked for him years ago. Salmond stated that he did. Seems unlikely that Salmond didn't mention this to Nichola who was then his protégée. It's all smellier and smellier.
Salmond did mention this to NS but she ignored him. She mentioned this in the LK interview yesterday but didn't mention Salmond. If I remember correctly.

Crikey all that space taken up with copies can’t we just cut and paste a sentence or two.
If she wasn’t aware and some people do lead very separate lives and I did say ‘if’, what a horrible situation, and if she didn’t know I ve no idea how she could prove it well she couldn’t could she ?The cut and paste police - I've seen it all now.
I just feel like quoting everything now.
Be careful isn’t that a goady post !!! 🤣🤣don’t worry I m not a ‘reporter’

She obviously needs to get her eyes checked. Not just for missing the "size of a small planet" camper van at her mother in law's but also for marrying her now ex-husband
The camper van had only 4 miles on the clock. Delivered to a storage area and then hidden at his mother’s. A fact reported in the court.
No reason for Nicola to know about it.
I’m not defending her, but I base my judgement on facts not speculation.
It wasn't hidden at his mothers. It was sitting on her driveway, which was beside the house, but not in any way, shape or form hidden. I read earlier that her MiL's neighbour had said it was not hidden. I've had a look but I can't find the article.

I think she would be able to adjust her settings to miss most of it. Also, I think she may be more of an X as that is where most of the SNP party posted.
There is no evidence that she hates the English.
She wasn't too fond of the UK government, but why would she hate the English?
