How lovely is that!

Sat with a G&T listening to water trickling, wearing a sleeveless dress feeling warm and totally relaxed.

Absolute bliss, for me the evenings are the best, balmy but not too hot.
As for your first sentence I can only assume you are seated near a water feature or suffering incontinence. 🤣🤣

I could sit out here, too, but I’d need a warm fleece, socks and a blanket. grin

We have just finished eating in the garden, now sitting and chilling blissful

😄😄😄😄😄 both😮😮😮 getting old is no joke. But I am old enough to appreciate the simple pleasures.

Getting more mellow with each sip!

Absolute hell for me. I cannot think of anything worse than eating outside. I love Autumn the best.

We christened our new 'Italian Garden' this evening.

As people know we bought a project hosue last year and inevitable project houses come with project gardens. We razed the garden to the ground and had a large area paved and fenced some of it off, planted roses and lavender beds and containers round it and put a suitable table and chairs in the centre.

At lunch time it was too hot and sunny to use, but in the shade of evening, we sat in the cool of our formal Italian garden looking up the side garden to where, at the end, the tower of the parish church is 'framed' by the side walls of our bouse and our neighbour's house and agreeing, that we made the right decision when we pushed ahead with buying this house, despite our doubts and those of others.

I’m in Málaga it’s 9pm here
I came up from the gardens an hour ago to shower and make myself something to eat. I’ve just washed up (no dishwasher) and looking over the balcony there are 3 Spanish families still down there and 7 children are on the pool. 😊
The sun has dipped but it’s pleasantly warm.

Loving it.

I choose not to sit out, but my table is by my French windows wide open and now at 8pm the birds have started their evening chorus. My specs are off so I don't see the weeds overmuch 😉
It's so quiet here. I dont have "BBQ neighbours", its so peaceful.

I spent the heat of the day at the gym, as its got full aircon and friends for nattering.

Sitting in the garden too!

You and me both SueD. It’s been a bit mixed here in Durham today.

We also sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed it but what is worrying is the lack of insects. I think we only saw two small bees. Years ago we were often driven back inside because of all the buzzy creatures.

It's lovely to do.. Just come in from the garden at 10.20pm after dinner and a few drinks with friends. I think I need to go to bed.
Neighbours out in there's too... Today has been over 30° in our garden, but I have been topping up my Vit D.

I love midsummer! It is freedom for me.

I came out into the garden at 7. 30 am for breakfast. I have since treated part of my shed before the sun gets in my eyes and am now sitting in the shade drinking tea 🌞👒

Why? (just curious)

Whitewavemark2 Sun 24-May-26 13:41:58

Breakfast in the garden then planted some phlomis and geraniums (found some pottery when digging a hole). Did some watering and then sat reading. Lunch in the house as getting very hot in the garden.

So do I. The weather getting colder and snuggling down in front of the fire. The spectacular effect of changing leaves, kicking through leaves as I walk footpaths.walking outside as the weather gets cooler, evenings drawing in, warmcuddly clothes.

I am an Autumn and winter person

This is the third evening we have sat out to enjoy our evening meal. Just lovely. Blue skies, birds singing, little bees humming in the cotoneaster other than that you could hear a pin drop.

We’re still sitting out, having eaten at the garden table. There is just a whisper of a breeze. The parakeets are doing a lot of noisy talking to each other!

Greyduster Tue 26-May-26 20:21:39

We had a thunderstorm at about four o’clock and torrential rain. It was deliciously cool afterwards with a slight breeze. I went for a walk about seven. It was a joy to be out.

I love sitting out but I always end up being bitten. This can lead to cellulitis for me so I try to keep my legs up. I was using the hose yesterday and, yes, they got me.
