Honestly, I do mad things like the above on a daily basis.

I must have more marbles than I thought I had because nothing like that has happened to me.

During the pandemic we had tickets to see a show in the West End but it was cancelled. Therefore, in 2023 when he saw that it was coming to a theatre near us the following March he decided to book tickets as an anniversary presents. It wasn’t until the tickets arrived that he realised it wasn’t until March 2025! We did see it last year and it was worth waiting for. Also I did receive an additional anniversary present.

I distrust myself to such an extent now that I show DH what I’ve booked. And we sometimes still collectively get it very wrong. confused

Many times... even yesterday I had to check before meeting someone that I actually had the right day!

Retrospectively, I'm thankful I was ready a week too soon rather than having visitors arriving for lunch the week before I thought they were due!

We arrive at Portsmouth for the cross channel ferry, congratulating ourselves that we’re were in good time! In fact first in the queue.
When we presented our tickets and passports at the kiosk the official pointed out they were for the next day! There was no turning back, fortunately we were able ( for a fee) change the tickets and book another cabin.

When I was 16, I got all togged up and ready to go by train to a university interview and was just leaving the house when my mother asked if I had the letter etc. - I looked at the letter and the interview had been the day before! - gulp!

One dark winter morning, in a rush to get to work, I put on a pair of shoes, dashed into car and drove to work.

Once arrived I realised, one was black, one was navy and they had quite different height heels. Most people noticed and commented and it was quite odd when walking 🥱

We rushed back from a day out to get to the cinema because I’d looked up the times of two films we both wanted to see. Got there and found…yep, they were showing the following week. It’s a tad worrying, if I’m honest.

At 10.15am today I was all prepared for the visitors who were due at coffee time. Casserole ready to reheat, vegetables prepared, table laid. Now these particular people always send me a message as they are leaving. But today no message. I began to wonder if I'd got the date wrong, so I checked. Yes!! They are due next Friday!!!!
The casserole is now in the freezer.
Thank goodness it wasn't one I had already frozen and defrosted. grin
