I try and coordinate my clothes with the food I’m eating.
At home I change into an old top,
So Indian is nothing white or pale.
Italian is something that blends with red.
You get the idea?

Talking about stains, now that I am in a retirement flat,and feeling I wouldn't need a dishwasher for one person, I get so fed up with stained mugs..... so hard to get stains off without using bleach.... Currently using scourers!

Bleach is very evil creature and has a mind of its own. Likes to for a splash wherever it wants. Also smells vikes.

I do try to avoid bleach, but despite all my efforts I’ve found that for certain things it’s the only product that works.

My mums in your situation and she uses Astonish. It’s a powder and you mix with water in the cups and leave it for a while .

Ban the wearing of white t-shirts by messy husbands.

Well done grumppa 🙂 can you spread the word...also just refuse to wash? Or give said DH that Vanishing stuff and ask him to do it?

Actually I don't wear make up but inevitably however well I massage in face/neck cream there are some grease remains.

As regards Ex husband...he would put his gym gear through the wash, and it would still smell of sweat, and he refused to put them through again, tho the smell was bad. He couldn't smell it but didn't trust I could. so while we were still together I'd wait till he was out and out it through with a bit of bleach.

But then, he is an "Ex"....

For tea stained mugs, try paste of salt to scour or get 'Magic Erasers'.

Use green bleach, really good for removing stains from clothes gently and much better for the environment. I am such a messy eater, I am always using it!!

Sounds just like me. If anything can go wrong it will.

As white is a colour surely bleach would take out the colour and make it natural which has happened to me in the past. I now use soda granules which often does the trick

Rub some neat washing up liquid into the stain and leave overnight before washing.

Yesterday morning my lovely cleaning lady spent ages removing a curry stain from my lounge carpet (don't ask!). About 20 minutes after she left I made a salad for my lunch. I went into the lounge to get my book, then sat at the dining room table and ate my lunch.

When I took a cuppa into the lounge later, there were two large dark green stains on my carpet. I realised I had dropped a spinach leaf on the floor whilst making lunch and managed to tread it into the lounge carpet. Exactly where the curry stain had been.

You know you do it on purpose 😂

My OH knows that if he chooses to wear white, including sports socks, he’s on his own.

DP is a cigar smoker and often manages to knock the ashtray off onto the carpet with lit cigar and all, resulting in little burn marks all around his chair🙈
I specialise in red wine stains🤭

I don’t have this r regularly, it only happens when I’m wearing something I really mind about!☹️

I'm a reliably messy eater 🙄 I pre treat all stains by rubbing in washing liquid, such as Fairy, Bold etc. Then I wash as normal.with a wash capsule in a 40 wash, stains are gone every time

That made me laugh.
Even when you’re careful you often find small bleach marks on clothing.
I bought a huge pinny which swathes me from head to foot some years ago but often forget to don it before bleaching.

I've just bought myself a lovely pair of summer trousers, and a white top, to be on the safe side, ive bought 2 white tops, can't be too careful, especially when you're away on holiday

I am not one usually for new things just because of the hype, but the new Tallow and Ash stain pen is amazing, tomato sauce off a white t shirt straight away.

My son used to groan if he saw me in white, he knew I would soon be dropping food on myself. Strange thing is as he gets older he’s developed the same habit!

It’s such a relief to know I’m not the only one,I’m 67 and I’ve been doing it for a few years now 😂 especially when I’ve put a freshly washed top on my husband says he doesn’t know how I could miss my mouth 😂
