Have been musing about coffee this morning, not the good stuff but instant coffee, but a really enjoyable one.I’m going to buy something later on today and am always hoping to find a better one than the last one I bought.
The coffee in the rest room at work is always poor quality so I will start taking my own in with me.
It needs to be one with caffeine. What can you recommend?

Nescafe Azera is quite nice, always best to drink a full glass of water first in the morning,..I now try to most days since dr’s advice to my daughter.

I've tried all different coffees but after drinking Nescafe Azera Americano at my daughters I've stayed with that. It's not bitter like I found all the others. We have a Nescafe sachet in a morning - Cappucino, Toffee Nut or Double Choc Mocha for a treat.

It’s Kenco Colombian for me, from Sainsbury’s or Ocado — or even Amazon.

I agree they are worth the money particularly if you only have one or two cups a day. Not bitter at all. Taylor's ground coffee is really good as well. Italian lazy Sunday morning I think it is called.

Kenco millicano intense, silver can, the best,

If you’re in England try Little’s. Available in delicatessens and possibly other places. Not the cheapest but worth it imo. Not sure how widely it’s available.

Delallo espresso.

Another vote for Nescafé Alta Rica I only drink coffee and have found this the best.

I buy Nescafé gold decaf, when I’m out I enjoy a Lavazzo and would love to find an instant decaf that tasted like that.

My preference is Machu Picchu Decaf which I try to buy when on offer. As a good alternative I buy Barrissimo Decaff Americano Barista Roast from Aldi. If not Decaf I will buy Machu Picchu 3 or 4.

We rarely drink instant coffee preferring beans we can grind each day.

MissAdventure Thu 07-May-26 22:45:47

That's cheap!
Wish i had an Aldi near me.
I'd give it a whirl.

Colombian strength 4. 100% Arabica. Tastes like real coffee. I like a heaped teaspoon. Only £2.79 at Aldi.

I agree, this is excellent and amazing value!

Take a small cafetiere and use fresh ground coffee. There's no substitute for it

A coffee bag is just as good I think when you’re not at home. The coffee is vacuum packed, so it’s fresh, and it’s a lot more convenient.

Marg75 Thu 07-May-26 21:37:23

Nescafé Azera here as well.

Waitrose Colombian coffee bags, 15 for 4.50£

I have Nescafe Azera. Expensive but it's usually on offer somewhere. I find it richer and more coffee tasting than the run of the mill instants.

You used to be able to buy a small tin which would be good to try it out.

100% the best instant coffee I have had.

Gran22boys Thu 07-May-26 20:22:30

Clipper House Blend Organic Instant Coffee. I get mine in the local health food shop. I don’t think you can tell it’s instant.

But you can buy in paper bags as refills….*Tizliz*

Strangely more expensive.

Luckily I can’t stand coffee so OH usually makes his own

Nescafe gold for me..
I do try some of the others, and enjoy them for a while, but when i have a cup of my usual, it says "home".

Oh me too MissA!
Tried a few of these mentioned over the years
Even the ‘ordinary’ nothing special Nescafé is £7 a small jar now 😮

You can take the girl out of Old Trafford etc …

I still deeply inhale my Nescafé (one cup a day) before drinking it …
Takes me right back to junior school when my younger sister and I were allowed one cup every Saturday morning by our mum by the gas fire IIRC

Happy days!
