It’s been a while so I will start us off…….whats for supper and why?

Bbq, sausages and venison burgers from the butcher, with salad and my son.

Cold roast chicken, Nigella's mayo-less potato salad, salad 'cups' and coleslaw.

Lunch will be bought antipasti, smoked salmon, hard boiled eggs and coleslaw.

Tonight around 7.30pm it will be home made burgers on the BBQ, green salad, coleslaw along with jersey royal potatoes.

I have an avocado which needs eating, so I need to defrost some prawns or smoked salmon to go with, for lunch

Cold pork (we had it hot yesterday - dh wanted a roast!) - with salad/potato salad, apple chutney.

Rocket with halloumi, avo and baby plum tomatoes added that are tossed in olive oil in a hot pan until they blister and then balsamic vinegar added to the same frying pan to make a glaze. (Cool slightly so the tomatoes don’t burn your tongue). Slice of bread.

Low alcohol berry wine spritzer with sparkling water and lots of ice.

All these lovely sounding meals. I don’t know who’s door to knock on 🤣🤣

Mushroom omelette and a pot of Greek yoghurt. I think I’m losing weight. Good bc I fit into a sundress I bought in Florida when I was 48 (I’m 71 now) and that a was a pleasant surprise as I’ve been sorting clothes this morning.

I’ve not bought any ‘goodies’ at the supermarket this week. No biscuits, crisps, chocolate etc so no snacking possible. Just 3 meals a day and as the nurse running the pre diabetes course told us if you don’t buy it in you can’t be tempted. 😁

Yesterday was barbecued chicken crispy roast potatoes and summery veg.

Today was sweet and sour pork with jasmine rice - CB. An easy day after doing a load of gardening.

Mediterrean potato salad, quinoa salad, green salad, zucchini fries, fruit.

Kebabs on the BBQ (lamb for DH, chicken for me) rice and salad 🥗🍚🐑🐓

Coronation chicken, rice, steamed PSB.
Probably Greek yogurt.

I made a big batch of potato salad this morning so we’ll be having that with some breaded fish fillets (20 mins in the oven) and salad.

Skate wing with lemon and herb butter, steamed asparagus, Hollandaise sauce, steamed new potatoes,
Greek yogurt with a drizzle of maple syrup.

Strips of ribeye steak in a green salad, half a baked “loaded skin” each from M&S (too hot for anything more than that).

Salmon with lemon juice baked in a foil parcel. Sweetheart cabbage, lightly cooked in tiny amount of water, mustard and knob of butter. Wholegrain rice. Lemon yoghurt.

DH is cooking Marry me Chicken with pasta. I told him that we are actually married but he is insisting.

Last night’s chicken leftovers transitioned into a curry with potatoes, carrots and spinach added because not enough chicken.

A lightly sugared Weetabix with soya milk. Can’t sleep through the night if I go to bed with an empty stomach.

Burst tomato pasta, quinoa artichoke veg salad. Fruit.

We are in an hotel. Last evening it was sea bass with a lovely parsley sauce, broccoli, French beans,mangtout and baby potatoes. Followed by chocolate, coconut and lime cake with chantilly cream.
Full Welsh breakfast this morning, but no idea what I shall choose for supper😀🤔

Yesterday was - boiled egg, Jacket potato and baked beans, vegetarian egg fried rice.

Today - porridge with flax and chai, zuzzed with tinned fruit in juice, Salad With egg, bacon and croutons, Greek fish roast.

Chicken thighs with rice, all baked in the oven in one dish, carrots and peas.

Leftover Indian takeaway from Sunday, chicken dhansak, dhal, Bombay potato and rice.

Dh is away tonight, so since I’ve done a lot of jobs today I absolutely couldn’t be bothered to cook for myself. I’ve had one of our emergency Fray Bentos pies (chicken) with a lot of sweetheart cabbage that needed using up.
