Coolest pillowcases

Pure linen (flax). New linen is expensive but it will last a lifetime.

40 years ago antique linen pillow cases used to turn up in
charity shops for pennies --before I bought them all--; some of my finds must be well over a century old. Some have beautiful hand embroidery (in white linen) , and a few of mine are so old they have hand-made linen buttons.

Silk or faux silk is also pretty cooling and I did have a funny blue cool mat you put inside the pullowcase

Do you use a quilted cotton pillow protector under the pillow case? That could help. And then a silk pillowcase. on the top...or a linen one if you can find one.

Silk.. I have been using them for several years, I find they worked on me.
I tried the blue cooling mat too... But I stuck with the Silk in the end.
I also replaced all my bed linen with 100%cotton.

I have a Tempur pillow which has an outer cover which is supposed to be cooling but doesn’t do a lot with the pillowcase I have.

I have just bought a cool pillow from Tesco, it was a half price offer (using my club card) only £10. So far I’m happy with it.

I do have padded covers on my pillows but I don't think that it makes any different. All my pillowcases are cotton or linen and I don't honestly find much difference between the two.

I have a Derila pillow that I have bought cooling pillows to fit it. Not only keeps me cooler at night but helps my neck & shoulders.

I use bamboo pillows with pure cotton pillow cases, never have this problem.

Looked them up and immediately saw Dunelm sell real linen pillow cases for £25 each in soft green. Cream and think soft brown .

Linen and mulberry silk on Temu, which I use for everything now…I just ignore all the ‘ discount, special offers,buy for 1pence’ ( cos I can’t fathom out how to claim,it’s very convoluted!) and I use PayPal for everything I buy on line, so no companies have my bank details. Here are two examples of pillowcases.

A simple method I use is to just turn the pillow over so the long side nearest your neck is then nearest the headboard and vice versa.

That way you get rid of the part that you've warmed up. Later, after the top cools down you can repeat the process.
