Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 3°C and raining.
So sad for the FGTs. ♥️
I'm awake early, to do an e consult, I'm still struggling with vertigo, so I'm limited in what I can do.
My wee DIL is still very ill and the nasal tube had to be re-inserted.
I persuaded DH to take me to see her, I was doing some serious fretting,
Of course, it wasn't straight forward, because parking would have been impossible,
DH drove to the outskirts of Paisley, then we got two buses. While waiting for the second bus, I was asked by a anxious lady from London, how to get to the hospital.
She had come all the way from London to see her critically ill brother and was quite upset. I told her to stick with us and we would get her there.
She asked if the buses took cash, but I had no idea,
What a shock, when I discovered the fare for a fifteen minute journey was £3.60, Thank goodness for our bus passes!
When we got to the hospital, I was delighted to see DS and DIL was up and sitting in a chair, albeit looking very frail and skeletol.
She had told the pain doctor, I was on my way, from my sick bed, to give her a telling off, so she had better make an effort.
# scary loving MIL.
We got there by a circuitous toute. DIL had given us the wrong directions, there were two level five floors and we ended up in Cardiology HDU, at the other side of the hospital, a place I know well!!
I had a strange feeling of deja vu, it was most unsettling. 😪
While were sitting, DIL suddenly tried to get up and started moving her legs, pretending to walk. She was doing some gentle exercises. I could have cried.
I want to thank the GN friend, who messaged me yesterday, having been in a similar situation, she gave me some hope. ♥️
She was in agony and had to ask for more morphine.
We didn't stay long, I wasn't feeling too good and DIL was very sleepy.
Off we went for the first bus, to Paisley Cross. Much to my relief, it appeared quickly.
There was an outpouring of rage, when it transpired, that the driver had forgotten to change the sign and it was going in the opposite direction! Walking sticks at dawn.🤣
I felt quite sorry for him.
We got on a bus to find it taking an unusual route around the back of the hospital, close to where I had been brought up, I realised we were very close to DH's car, therefore no need to get another bus.
Quickly I told a bewildered DH to ring the bell. The lovely female driver asked why we weren't going to Paisley Cross, I said, ^DH's car is over there. She found this highly amusing. Two old fogies, who had no idea, where they were going, nor what they were doing.🤣
DH's shoulders slumped, when he saw the charity shop was open. 😉
A miracle happened, I suddenly felt well enough to go in.
I spotted a brand new M&S dress, with labels, still attached. However, it was priced at £17, which was a bit steep, when the other items were much cheaper.
The assistant looked at it and said Far too much, what about £10.. I got out my purse, to pay. Its half price day, that will be £5!.
I had been telling the assistant, how I had been brought up across the road in a long gone, Victorian tenement, when I spotted a stone pig, hot water bottle. It triggered memories of having one in my bed. I began to feel quite nostalgic. The assistant said, that it hadn't been priced yet, but I could have it for £5. A bargain!
I decided not to tell DH, for I am supposed to be decluttering! 🤣
When I did show him, he too started reminiscing.
DD had messaged down an update on DIL. I told her about the pig.
You are not going to put that in your bed, are you?😱
Coincidently, at the time, I was watching a You Tube video on recycling, and a very wealthy lady in Sussex, was using one to style her veranda.
I took a picture of the TV and sent it to DD.
I'm using it to style my home, I said.🤣
Last night, wee Dollie ♥️ phoned me to tell me how she was and how, she and daddy were looking after each other.😪
I feel, that I am no use to anyone at the moment and I miss her so much.
Then DIL2 phoned to check up on DIL1. She was on for an hour. I gave up on my now cold bath and crawled into bed.
Still feeling nauseous and unbalanced 🤣, I have just done an engage consult to get some help.
I overdid it yesterday and feel rubbish. No hospital visiting today.
I also have a telephone consultation with the surgery pharmacist, to see how I am getting on with my changed medication.
Due to my dexterity issues, I had difficulty opening some of the packaging, so che changed it.
I will go back and read all the posts, it has taken my ages to write this. I started at 7.15am.🤣
Have a pleasant day folks and best wishes for the mountaineers. 💐
