I was on the 6 week pathway 3 years ago it all happened so quickly but I waited the full 6 weeks for a call up, an op happened very quickly after that and then a second preventative op and three years on I ve forgotten almost it ever happened. Still have 6 monthly check ups for another couple of years but it was handled so well now I look back, although it didn’t seem it at the time Good luck

Maybe you’re worrying less about it Helter I do think the more laid back we can be about non sleep the better

Another sleep till 5.15. Again no idea why. Have made a large mug of tea and will have a couple of paracetamol. I feel very achy all over and have done for months now and paracetamol does take the edge off it.
Roses waiting is awful. Maybe you are on the 2 week pathway as the wait to have the scan without would be far too long. Be brave. Lots of treats.

I have been awake since just after one. No sign of sleep yet.

Oh Roses! What a worry for you. That wait is grim but what's the saying- we die if we worry and we die if we don't. or something like that

Look after yourself . Plan a few treats while you wait.

👋🏻 anyone around? I can’t sleep, my mind is racing after having a CT scan under the 2 week process. I greatly suspect my breathlessness isn’t cardiac because my chest xray a couple of weeks ago has shown up something that isn't just ‘odd blood vessels’ as told by the consultant in ambulatory care….. She didn’t convince me at all and didn’t tell me I was on the 2 week pathway either.
So, I have a 4-6 week wait to hear the CT results.
What will be, will be 🙏

My first post on here!
I have had 3 hours sleep. Following a heart procedure my pacemaker is set at a minimum rate of 80bpm which makes me restless and jittery and struggling to sleep. I am hoping they will reduce the rate at followup on April 10th or I might go nuts ... tired but wired feels grim
But I listened to some podcasts and found some great music in the jazz fusion genre that my grandsons' band plays so have been able to send the tracks to them. I'm trying to think positive!

Good morning all wideawake.
A better sleep last night...no idea why. All my problems are still problems and haven't gone away. But I have woken thinking it must be 2.30 and it was 5.45. I have woken in the night but went back to sleep quite quickly.
And it's getting light.
Good advice from your GP GM. Fifteen months between births must have been tiring. I had 24 months and that certainly was full on.i could have slept standing up.

Have made coffee and will check up on news headlines then Wordle then read.

I have found those t’ai chi acupressure thingies excellent. I still don’t sleep many hours but better quality thereof.
Managed to go back to sleep for another couple of hours this morning.
I have learned to stop worrying about the lack of sleep. Recently remembered my wonderful GP’s advice when I was pregnant with DD, no 2 baby. There is only 15 months between 1 and 2. I barely slept, and worried terribly about it. He told me that just lying there quietly, doing nothing, gave my body a chance to recharge. That helped me hugely.

No you’re not alone I was just lying thinking of a lot of miserable thoughts about stuff going on ….so I must shake myself out of it

👋 looks like I’m alone on duty…it’s my monthly shift again and I’ve been awake since 3.30, possibly the excitement of a train trip with my friend this morning to Shrewsbury with shopping, dining and a drink or three 🥂

I’m keeping notes on my poor sleep once a month and for the last six months it’s been pretty constant around mid month - I’m convinced it’s to do with lunar phases!

I can cope with it now I’m retired but it would’ve worried the hell out of me whilst working which would’ve made it a whole lot worse probably, a pattern of days rather than a one off 😵‍💫

HelterSkelter - as I spent yesterday making posies for Mothering Sunday I wanted yi see how they'd be received.
So I went .
Quite successful.
I came home and crashed out on the sofa .

We had a bad day yesterday as our car was suddenly became unwell and had to betaken into the garage. All a bit stressful. So not a good night. We walked into the village this morning for the papers…3 miles round trip, and just managed to to get indoors before the rain. Had breakfast, sat down and we both went off to. Sleep for an hour.
Roll on tonight

Then have a day of rest at home.. Esmay. Warm bath. Hot food. Why push yourself and risk feeling unwell for the coming week.

Another disjointed sleep last night but not too bad. And it looks sunny so far.

I had a restless night .
Now I feel tired and I don't feel like going to church .

Last night I have done what I haven’t done for a very long time….I dreamt and dreamt, there’s not much I can remember but bits are still there which is unusual as of late
I used to have vivid dreams but for a long time now I seem to have not dreamt

Slept like a log for three solid hours, then woke up thinking it was morning to find out it was actually only five to three! I’ve listened to radio 3 for a while.

Been awake since 2am, now trying to see if i can nap for an hour

I have slept better for a couple of nights ,but last night I woke up .
My feet felt like two blocks of ice .
And hurt !

Me too, I’ve been awake for several hours, have given up and am drinking my TIB, finished my book and am waiting for dawn.
I have felt very unwell all week and hope today will be better.
The Dawn chorus is starting up - I can recognise robins, dunnocks, chiffchaffs, and probably bluetits (whose song I don’t know!).

I’ve been thrashing about for the last couple of hours, so I’ve given up and got up to make a hot drink and read my book.
