I too hate 'If you are sat' instead of 'If you are sitting' - I fear using the gerund is now long gone. While I'm on the subject, other annoyances are 'bored of', 'sneak peak' (yes, peak), using the singular with a plural noun ('Politics is my favourite subject') 'critiquing' something and 'mood music' (what has music got to do with anything? Can't media journalists just tell us what the mood was?). I'm loath to go on. Although now it's 'loathe to' of course. Grrrr.
Sorry! This probably should be on another thread!
