Yes Sago. It's a lovely place. Huge and in the centre of Walsall which is pretty rundown really. The arboretum has miles of walks, lakes, streams, tennis courts, playground, small water splash area for children, picnic tables and benches, a cheap cafe and more. No I don't work for Walsall Tourism!

My husband and I loved walking in the Lakes, lots of favourites.

Catbells
Langdale Pike
Ferry from Glenridding to either Howtown or Pooley Bridge and walk back
but loved going from Near Sawrey, passed Blea Tarn to Claife Heights coming back to Far Sawrey and lunch at Cuckoo Brow Inn or Tower Bank Arms.
I miss those walks with him!

Same here! Have done this so many times over the years.Now older I just wish there was another cafe at the farm end, halfway for a rest and a drink.DP isn’t one for resting and likes to push on.

I would walk to the bottom of my childhood garden and sit and talk to mam and dad.

Our long garden backed on to another one. If I went to the end of our garden the boy who lived behind us was sometimes playing out.
He taught me a lot of swear words.
He was called Christopher and his mother thought he was a little angel. 😇

Yes, many happy memories of our garden too, a small house but a very long garden!

The bottom of our garden was just beyond my Dad's vegetable garden so I was hidden by his bean rack when I ventured that far.

I have loved reading about all your walks, I have done a number of the ones mentioned, Buttermere crops up a lot, I love that walk.

We go to stay at our apartment in Ripon for a few days on Thursday so weather permitting we will be out again, I think the shawl Leyburn up to Castle Bolton via Wensley and of course the 7 bridges Fountains Abbey will be on the agenda, recommendation’s always welcome.

I thank the Lord for the ability to be able to hike.
For those not so mobile to remember the beautiful walks and the company you shared is so precious.

The walk from Puerto Calero to Playa Quemeda in Lanzarote. Over the cliffs on rough terrain from a typical tourist resort to a small Canarian fishing village with fish freshly caught served in a handful of eating establishments. We loved this walk but since my husband’s ill health we know we cannot do it again.

Similar - Puerto Del Carmen to Puerto Calero and back.

Camino de Santiago (across the north of Spain) - always wanted to do that. I daydream and wonder I could do it on a mobility scooter :-) I'm sure I could but enough charging points along the way could be tricky.

The North Norfolk coastal path for me - I love to see all the migrating birds, the huge skeins of geese and the wide open skies.

Yes we did Hawkshead to Tarn Hows yesterday, I posted a photo on a previous post.
It’s an easy walk, there is a sweet little Baptist Chapel with a community garden and a loo at Hawkshead Hill, always worth a stop.
Roughly 3 hours there and back.

The Seven Sisters in East Sussex. I just love coastal walking and the cliffs are so beautiful.

Yes, I tackled Fleetwith Pike a couple of years ago from Gatescarth. Quite a challenge with some scary scrambling! Once at the summit, walked on and did Haystacks and then down to Gatesgarth farm. I was pleased to have done this solo (68 yrs). Absolutely adore the LD and return here each year. Enjoy the remainder of your trip,Sago
