Aprons

I love my aprons but only wear them for washing up and other kitchen jobs. It is second nature for me to put one on- it keeps my clothes clean!

I wear an apron when baking - I have four and circulate them…

I always wear an apron when serving coffee/food at “public” events.

I wear one for cooking. I have an old one to wear in the garden.

I am always surprised that MaryBerry doesn't wesr one on her cookery shows as she wears such pretty clothes and is close to the frying pan a lot of the time.

I always intend to wear an apron to stop my clothes getting messy, then I forget to launder them and they end up stained & I don't want to use them.
I would like to get into a routine of wearing one. Baking is one of my least messy kitchen activities, but any other cooking & I'm terribly mess-prone.

I have lovely aprons with pockets and wear them for anything that stains eg beetroot or fresh turmeric or when making red sauerkraut like yesterday. Dirty housework or gardening, jeans and a cotton top

I always wear an apron when cooking. I haven't a clue how the rest of you don't get food stains, splashes, spills on your clothes. Maybe I'm just a mucky pup. I've just made two more. I can make the waist ties longer. I wonder why 😁

I have an apron but often forget to wear it. My mum used to wear hers all the time, changing into a half one in the afternoon. I am a messy eater, especially with gravy and spag bol, so I wear a tea towel which can easily go in the wash and I don’t worry if it gets stained.

I don't have an apron either.

We have an IKEA apron nobody wears (impulse buy) .

I am a messy cook. Dog lies in wait for tasters on the floor. When I'm lying on the sofa he leans in to inhale my clothes for splashzones. Right now he'd get a whiff of today's lunch ( chicken with mushrooms in herby cream) , yesterdays. lunch ( spag bol ), lemon drizzle cake and maybe a splash of sauvignon.

I hate PVC aprons - stuff slides off.

I wear PVC aprons to protect my clothes when I'm eating something with a tomato or other sauce or lots of gravy. I wore one last night when eating chicken pieces marinated in a curry paste that contained turmeric.
I don't usually wear it when cooking unless food being fried in oil splashes on to the hob.

I don't own an apron....but perhaps I should, I do get messy..

I only wear an apron when I'm in the kitchen, cooking or washing up etc. I still have one that my eldest granddaughter made for me when she was at school.
I quite like aprons. It makes sense to keep your clothes clean.

Some bright spark where he works ordered him white polo shirts, he has beetroot in his salad for lunch every day 🙄

I wear an apron all the while I'm indoors. As I don't want my clothes to get bleach stains etc it's a habit I adopted years ago. When I'm seen wearing the apron people ask me if I've been baking. I'm 81 so it could be an age thing from when we had Sunday best.

Me too, but mine is a pinny, not an apron.

I probably should wear a hazmat suit as I’ve managed to get bleach on so many t-shirts!

My favourite is from the Falklands Islands with all the different wildlife on it. A happy memory apron.

I take it off if I even just need to have a quick wee stitch in time let alone clean. I couldnt mix kitchen and bathroom either😱

I only ever wear an apron in the kitchen but I always wear it when I'm there. I can mess up my clothes quickly enough without adding food prep mishaps to the list of risk factors.

A stripey navy and white butcher's type apron. Always have for cooking. The original one came from Habitat 50 years ago.
If I forget to put it on something always gets spilt down my front. Always.
