Last minute cruises..

Will he get a huge reduction?
To me, it seems an odd way to book a holiday.
I prefer to plan my journey, read about my destination, think about it for months in advance. But it isn't me!

If you want cover for cancellation you need to get insurance before you book.

As soon as you’ve booked, not before surely?

If you did it before you might not be able to book your holiday and then you’d have wasted the insurance money.

Bank accounts often offer insurance as part of “normal” account package. Ours does - travel phone car breakdown etc. we have to pay a top up nowadays due to age and health issues. Cruises require evidence of insurance policy you have.

Yes you need to do it soon after you have booked ( not before surely?) to be covered for cancellation.

We had to cancel 2 holidays last year which had been booked well in advance. One was a cruise. I’m sure someone will have occupied the cabin we had so carefully chosen! As for insurance it can often be arranged by the cruise company or travel agent at the time of booking. It’s a good idea to have the appropriate clothes ready but otherwise last minute booking shouldn’t be a problem
