Rather odd to loathe Ernie Wise, Cossy. Given that he was an essential part of a double act with Eric Morecambe whom you've cited as one of your favourites. I don't think either of them ever did comedy routines on their own anyway, although I could be wrong. Do you mean you loathed him as a person?

Have got to add Les Dawson to my list of ‘likes’, loved his morose story telling and when he dressed up as - I think it was Ada - absolutely hilarious.

Ah have to add Ricky Gervais to those I dislike and Bob Monkhouse.
Both give me the creeps for some reason.

I always used to find Bob Monkhouse creepy when I saw him on TV although I couldn't explain why; he just seemed oily and unctuous. Then I was at a dinner where he was the after-dinner speaker and I have never laughed so much in my life. I ached wiith laughing; most of those present also did. Very definitely not creepy at all!
