If you’re anywhere near Callander in Stirling try Mhor bakery for pies might be a bit of a journey for you …Failing that a good local butcher.

Have you tried palettes? Kale sprouts, loose and frilly with a lovely dark red tinge. Absolutely delicious, much nicer than sprouts or kale and must be really good for you . Sainsbury's have them at the moment, but I think the season may be short.

Mt61 - Try an Auld’s scotch pie! I heartily recommend for flavour and texture. So many Scotch pies now are very dry.

Stop - please please stop! Since my heart attack in the summer all these lovely things are off the menu for me!

Invest in some really juicy fat dates, the best are from Bam in Iran, and enjoy them with a fragrant black tea, Earl grey with regular tea in a pot is nice. In the ME this is dessert and is much healthier.

If you want totally lush dried cranberries the biggest and best I've ever had are the Anthrap ones. Still sugared of course but somehow also deliciously tart. I buy them in 1kg bags. Can get them from the company or Amazon...Probably elsewhere too.

I love truffles and a cheaper (not cheap) alternative is a mushroom/truffle paste that goes into anything easily and keeps quite a while in the fridge.
Used to be able to get it in my local Sainsbury's but sadly no more.
The one I like is made by L'Aquila. It's not too pungent for a "fancy" quick supper with any extra chopped mushrooms and some pasta.. All my family like this.
Dot it on pizza or halved baked tomato's, put some in/on eggs... it's like a pesto.

Also, as this is a place for all sorts of deliciousness I want to say how much I love the Highgrove tea. It's just right for me.

Mackies vanilla ice cream. I used to get the organic one which was just so nice, but can no longer find it. Best ice cream. I think they make it for Waitrose. But I may be wrong.

The best biscuits in the world…Borders dark chocolate gingers.
And dessert…a quality dairy vanilla ice cream with a good slosh of blackcurrant liqueur over. Alternatively, affogato…a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream with a hot espresso poured over.
These are what come immediately to mind, rather than anything healthy or useful!

Nairn's Marmite aand cheese oatcakes. They come in a box wrapped in packs of 5. A friend introduced me to them last autumn. They are now a staple nibble, when I want one.

Oh, I adore those, but then I'm a sucker for anything with Marmite in it, and Marmite and cheese is a marriage made in heaven.

OK, not new but now my Grandchildren simply call it Nannys Yoghurt and when here it disappears at a rate of knots !

It’s not the price, it’s the consistent quality, as each Aldi biscuit is sealed. The ‘genuine’ ones are just wrapped and I’ve found the quality depends on where I bought them - anything from very crisp to others like wet cardboard. I’m sure they’re fine leaving the factory, but storage etc takes its toll.

Yes I get Aldi’s copy of Tunnocks wafers but find their chocolate marshmallows cannot be copied, is something about the consistency.
