Nothing in particular right now Oops but thanks for asking. 😁 I started the thread because I’d read an interesting article earlier from a psychologist who said asking this question of a friend is often a kindness because most people can think of something small that would help if life overwhelms them in some way. It just got me thinking.
A break from the boring monotony of housework, washing, ironing, shopping, cooking, clearing up seven days a week.
I know there are many things worse than monotony and I should count my blessings but I haven't been away for nine years so just a few days in Cornwall would be nice.
a lovely warm massage with beautiful scented oils, and not worrying about the heating and lack of the winter fuel money. someone to be touching me to calm me down and relax Oh well watch for a pig flying overhead!
At this precise moment - Liverpool not to score. Then, all the Forest supporting people in my family will be please. DSiL 2 won't be happy but............
Excellent idea for chat and nice to know what prompted it friedgreentomatoes2 right now, it would be to have a chance to daydream like I used to when I was young, it helped me to stop overthinking and drift off to sleep.
An admin person, just for a day. I’ve got house insurance and the home services contract to check and barter down, decisions to make re keeping or disposing of Audible and Ancestry, and now I’ve had a pop up saying I need a Microsoft subscription. Do I? Oh, and DH desperately needs a new phone. Back in the day I’d have sorted all of this before dinner time. Now I just don’t feel I can be bothered with any of it!
FishandChips15 How mobile are you? Try local church for coffee mornings, keep fit class. yoga class. Even going swimming will give opportunity for new friends. I made a lovely new friend going swimming. We often meet for a walk and a coffee. Good luck!
I’m not sure it’s a small thing but I would like to go to my brothers funeral. He died on 27th December. He and my Sister in Law have opted for ‘Pure Cremation. Their choice and I respect that. They say that funerals are for those left behind and I now see what they mean. I ‘m finding it difficult not having a particular day to feel he has been said goodbye to. I probably haven’t explained that very well .
