Just popping in to say,hope no one suffered too badly in the storm.
It really was scary in our neck of the woods,we had a couple of leaks in the kitchen caused by the driving rain being blown under the flashing we think but drying out now

I had my first annual pacemaker check on Tuesday,it’s working ok and still has 12/12 years left. Afib is happening quite often but is asymptomatic so a bit of a worry but see the cardiologist next year so see what he says- onwards and upwards.
Wishing everyone a peaceful night and thoughts to all with cares and concerns.

I’m glad your guests arrived safely corner I imagine the A34 closing caused a hiccup.
No luck on the meat draw for us, the big prize was won by a regular customer which was pleasing.
It’s raining and distinctly chilly out there, but the wind has abated, enjoy your evenings all.

L’il Miss was taken to see Father Christmas this morning at the local garden centre. Happy girl as the excitement ramps up!

Back home after Sunday dinner with my stepfather in my favourite pub. I chose a roast turkey dinner - the first of many this month I hope!

We're sitting with our DGDs, DD & her DH have gone out to a Carol Service at Kings College, & then for a meal in town.
We are home tomorrow, after a wet & windy weekend, fingers crossed that we haven't got problems after the storm.

Happy birthday Niene🎂🍷. We spent yesterday putting up tree and Christmas ornaments ,listening to wind outside ,I have got all presents wrapped freezer in garage turned on ready for Christmas food. SueD a big decision for you both to make . Hope everyone has a quieter day weather wise ,sending ((hugs)) to all in need.

I'm coming in here to my safe space as I don't know what else to do. I've woken up so sad and been crying all morning. I think I've known for a few days that today might be hard but I didn't think it would be quite so bad. I've kept myself busy at all times so I wouldn't have time to think but there's no escaping the fact that my daughters and Grandchildren are not here to celebrate with me as they were in the past. There is always that little part of me that thinks they would turn up and say' it's ok Mum...we made a mistake and we are happy for you'. Stupid isn't it? This is hurting. I'm hoping writing it down is going to ease it a bit. Bear with me.
