I wish I could have used that excuse when I stopped using the hairdresser I’d used for donkeys’ years - because she was just down the road and I could always get an appointment quickly.
But she really wasn’t very good! I see her now and then, she waves when I have to walk past the salon, but I haven’t actually spoken to her, so maybe I’ll never have to tell her the truth.
TBH, since the place has been going for so long but is never busy, I’ve come to suspect that it’s a money-laundering front for her dh’s business.
