Coastal town in South Devon. No sea view as we chose an ex LA property with lots of on road and front garden parking, 3 double bedrooms, 18 ft kitchen and 5 minutes walk to excellent doctors. Only 5 minutes drive to the coast. Family visiting regularly for holidays so not lonely and have great neighbours. Great fields and woods close by for dog walks. Very happy here for 5 yrs now.

We nearly moved there very many years ago.

It was March, it was cold and I was fully dressed apart from shoes and socks, I'd just gone to the edge to wash my hands. 😮

Oh HelterSkelter we must meet up. I'm on the coast in East Kent. On a clear day I can see Calais.
My children love to hear of my " days out" as a child, and how, on the train home, I wished to live here: and now, I do. Lucky me.

We're in a not very posh area of Birmingham and we love it. Behind our back fence there is a pretty canal. We can hear ducks and geese and boats put-putting past. There is a lovely park at the top of the road with lakes, wildlife, tennis courts and play areas.

We have Birmingham city centre give moles away and other small towns nearer. We have this beautiful arboretum about 4 miles away with lakes, wildlife, including parakeets in the trees and a cheap cafe.

Chocolatelovingran. Sadly I left Ramsgate at 18 and never moved back. Have lived in West London then N Surrey for the last 50+ years, but I so miss the seaside. Maybe I will move back one day. I have relations near Bournemouth and another favourite beach is Studland Bay. Another relation lives in Sandwich. Sandwich Bay and the stretch of Deal seafront is tempting.
I currently live near the Thames, but it's not the same. Although cc. above has a fab view from her flat.

I loved having a seaside childhood. Broadstairs was a very special little bay.

I thought they were giving the moles away free to Walsall as some kind of pest control method

My town

Almost anywhere in Scotland. When our girls were little we discovered the delights of a caravan park in Cullen. We were on the beach regardless of the weather.
My daughter took her children there too. Now they are too big for the beach

Thanks Helter Skelter, from last year, I think the bunting was up for the Coronation.

We are situated, thus, Surrey Hills, a few miles to the north, South Downs and south coast about 12 miles to the south. Guildford about 20 odd miles to the west.

LLFL I'm guessing Witney? Farringdon? Oxfordshire is a lovely county. One son lives Thame way. My husband had business partners in Witney so he knows that area fairly well. We often find ourselves driving through your country, we have friends further up in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire.

I'm in Devon, near Dartmoor. Down a long country lane with fields and lots of trees. It's wonderful.

I love the two DDs Devon and Dorset. We had a lovely week in Kingsbridge, South Hams last year.
