Pyjamas as day wear?

Could they have actually been a jumpsuit I wonder?

It is something that is happening more these days. I stayed in a hotel a few months ago and a couple came into the dining room in their pyjamas.
I'm not sure how I feel about pyjamas in public. I know most are decently covered but if they have slept in them and then mix with other people it just feels a bit off.

It's become a "thing" amongst a certain demographic. I see women (mostly young ones) shopping in their pyjamas and doing the school run in them. They often wear their dressing gown and slippers too. I must admit going to the seaside in pyjamas is a new one but maybe it's the latest craze. Or, being rather generous, perhaps the woman was convalescing and being escorted on a short stroll.

I do quite like some of these though!

I wear my pyjamas for most of the day but they don’t really look like pyjamas. And I wear a t shirt with my pyjama bottoms. I do sometimes worry that I might forget that I’m wearing them but I haven’t thus far gone out in them. Most of them are black or navy with a bit of a pattern. I certainly wouldn’t go out in pyjamas that look like pyjamas!

I can't tell the difference between loungewear and pj's.
There are also shoes and sandals made to look like slippers.

It's obvious that most people don't care what they wear or look like these days. Just got back from holiday in the UK and my goodness there were some sights!

I envy ladies in China who wear pyjamas when they're going about their business outdoors. They look so cool.

I get up, I get dressed. Wearing pyjamas to go out is just slovenly. Thank goodness it doesn’t happen where I live.

I thought my older grandson had come round in his pj's, and I knew he'd had a hard day at work.
He was quite affronted,
and informed me it was a Versace lounge wear t shirt and shorts.

The top button needs to be higher to my taste, but this is lovely, in my opinion.

Funnily enough saw a couple women come out of Tesco other day, they both were wearing pyjamas, dressing gown and slippers lol….when I heard their accent I think they were of a culture who usually wears night wear out and about.

That's pretty.
Nothing showing, looks clean and fresh, and probably helps that a model is wearing it.

We're not all models.

I don’t possess pyjamas at all . But I suppose they’re not too different from jogging bottoms and a t shirt .

My nighties aren't fit to be seen in public. "Rent-a-tent" comes to mind.

Neither of us wear nightwear, I too get up, shower, get dressed, each to their own I suppose.

I really like Pippa Middleton’s outfit.

Ten years ago as a politics student my son was invited to spend a day at a broadsheet newspaper in London .
He was amazed to see the media sub-editor arrive at the morning editorial meeting in his PJs and slippers. As nobody batted an eyelid he presumed that it must have been the norm.
