Good morning from a drizzly Glasgow, where it is 12°C.
GM, I had to pay £8.50 as a deposit, the last time at the dentist, however mine is an NHS one fortunately.
Grandmabatty, my eldest son was prone to tantrums and I remember standing in M&S, with a two year old, a new baby and this four year old, lying screaming on the floor.
My sister in law was so embarrassed, she ran away and abandoned me!
Yesterday was very tiring. After picking up a prescription for more antibiotics, I decided to pop into Asda on the way home. There were few bedding plants, but I did get more strawberries plants for my new planter.
There was something wrong with my hand scanner, it either wouldn't scan or was scanning two of everything. I just knew I would get a trolley search. I ended up with a full trolley search, so all the plants etc. had to be removed from the trolley to check. All because a £1 punnet of strawberries hadn't scanned. 🤬.
At one point I thought I was going to be sick, due to the persistent coughing. Talk about being a noticebox. All I wanted was to get home and lie down.
I have to commend the lovely member of staff who did the rescan. She was so pleasant.
I got home to find a message from DD, to say she had tripped getting on the train and her shoe had fallen under the train onto the track. Consequently the train had to be stopped to allow staff to retrieve it. 😱 Thankfully she wasn't hurt.
I was not surprised at the incident, she experiences calamities on a daily basis.
Today, we had a short break o Dundee planned, but it has been cancelled. DH thinks I am not well enough. He is of course, correct! Disappointments and cancelled activities are the norm these days. I have learned to take each day as it comes, anything good is a bonus.
He did suggest a run down the coast to Bagg's neck of the woods, but it is pouring with rain. 😢
I wish you all a pleasant day and hugs for all the poorlies and their wonderful and patient carers.
