They are in a hurry MissA because they work under horrible conditions they lose money if they have any parcels left over at end of shift and the amount they have to deliver per day is very very high Consider the road conditions, stuck in traffic jams etc they get low pay, drivers are dismissed if they don’t do a certain amount of deliveries per shift so yes they are always chasing their tails
But all our various delivery companies seem to have improved a lot over the last few years
Ah, I knew that they had terrible work conditions, but didn't realise they can lose pay over it.
I shall try to be more understanding.
We have a buzzer entry system, and they always buzz me to let them in if they don't get an immediate response
Then by the time I've got to the front door, they're in, have delivered to their person, and run away.
It can happen 10 times a day sometimes!
