Hairy Biker Dave has died.

This is upsetting…I hoped he was on the mend. A lovely man.

I’ve followed them for years and have a couple of their books, knew he’d been ill, but thought he was in recovery.
So sad you lovely man.

It's very sad. I have just read the tribute from his Hairy Biker partner, it was very moving.

Very sad. Unlike so many presenters Dave and Si were totally authentic which was so appealing.

Just reading Si's tribute to his friend has made me a little weepy.The incredible friendship they shared shone through their programmes.We missed this weeks episode and I was going to watch on catch up later today.So so sad.

I was very upset to hear this news, like many, I had hoped/thought that he had got over the cancer and was making a slow recovery. He always came across as a nice, genuine person.

I too had hopes he was getting better. I cried at the news.
Cancer is so very cruel. And unpredictable which is why it scares us.

Dave and Liliana kept their personal life incredibly private after they tied the knot back in 2011 at the star's hometown in Barrow, Cumbria.

But thanking his carers with a special Christmas dinner as part of a Hairy Bikers episode this Christmas, he opened up about just how vital Liliana had been to his care.

Speaking about his cancer diagnosis, he said: 'It impacts on the family. It's so difficult for my wife and family you know, that not knowing, your future is completely turned upside down.

'And also I think for my wife as well, it gave her some freedom away from me. I felt good about being able to let her have time to herself, albeit to go to the gym or a spa, just to have some of her time, because it's been so all-encompassing.'

I thought he was recovering as well, Dave Myers seemed a lovely man and the Hairy Bikers shows were so enjoyable.
