Good morning, just, from West Sussex. Cool, breezy and damp outside but we enjoyed a lovely walk yesterday, in woodland on an estate northwest of Chichester. Not much sign of spring yet but lovely to be out in the sunshine.

Today I have a list of tasks around the town- library, EE to wrangle a new contract, a delivery of hygiene products to the local family hub. I bought 2kg of Seville oranges in the farm shop yesterday so will start prepping for marmalade - unfortunately I don’t have Grandmattie’s ability to produce 40 jars before breakfast but I will get there slowly. Nothing beats homemade marmalade.

Lots of posters having a tough and/or worrying time. Thinking especially of the Urmses, Baggs and family, Marydoll, Kalu.

Glad to hear MissOops has had such a lovely social week for her birthday.

Luluaugust I'm struggling with my boot too they are just so heavy and awkward but I suppose it’s better than a cast.
Can’t wait to be free of it!

Thanks Blossoming - I agree. Its taken a lot out of me but I am taking each day at a time.

Been to the garden centre for coffee.
Couldn’t resist a couple of trays of pansies and violas so that’s my job for later planting them out.
Also got a couple of cyclamens to brighten up the kitchen window sill
Ironing calling now before lunch.

I was so sorry to read Urm's sad post yesterday and I join with everybody in prayers of love and support and trust that the outcome will be good .
What a lovely family holiday and gathering you have had Oops - there's nothing like gathering everyone under one roof is there.
Glad you enjoyed your trip out in Birmingham Pantglas. Sounds like it was fun.
I hope you enjoy your tai chi today Corner - it's such gentle and calming exercise. Sorry to read of your d-i-l's problems now and hope all can be resolved speedily.
I'm sure there are many more I could mention today, but I really must get going now - my only real achievements this far are to answer a couple of emails and replenish the bird table - what a hungry little lot they all are! - but there's lots more to be achieved and I'm off tomorrow for a 'sleepover' at DD's after a 'Boozy Afternoon Tea' in Edinburgh. More on that later.

Good morning Mickand all from windy Lancashire, currently 10°C.

Not much on the agenda today, other than housework and physio. I haven’t ventured into the garden for some days, I must see how it’s doing after recent storms.

MrB and I will be spending a long weekend at our favourite Galloway hotel in April. I have 10 weeks to get as fit as I can, I don’t want any more stomach upsets or falls.

Hope you’re feeling better PurplePixie, I don’t think we realise how much a general anaesthetic and a major op can upset the system

Good morning from a sunny and calm East Midlands. Another day forward after the hysterectomy. I’m able to get about better but didn’t sleep too well last night. Thank you for all of your kinds words and PMs.

Good morning from Glasgow. As Marydoll has mentioned, it is indeed a positively balmy start to the day although the dratted high winds are still with us. Anyhoo, hoping to spend some time in the garden, looking a treat with my woolly hat on to stop the wind blowing through my ears. The wind unsettles me for some reason.

Whilst doing my Waitrose shop yesterday I bumped into an old school friend whom I haven’t seen for circa 30yrs. and, she lives locally. We had a lot of catching up to do and left with the promise to keep in touch which we will do.

May Friday be good to all of us especially our friends who are going through unsettling times.

Sounds like it’s been a lovely week of celebrations Oops and a fun time for you in Birmingham Pantglas.We used to go regularly to Birmingham but not as much now due to the trains being unreliable.

Tap dancing this morning then lunch in town with DH.After lunch over the border into North Wales to collect the children from school and bring them back here for a sleepover.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle. More rain?
Yesterday's sunny start didn't last, it was grey again by lunchtime. I cheer myself up by looking at the snowdrops on my front lawn and telling myself that spring is coming. Last year's plantings are in full bloom and the new ones are now opening their buds too. I would have liked more but the thought of the tedious hours on my poor old knees to get them in put me off!
Today, a little pottering about with various gentle jobs then at lunchtime I am off to Newcastle, later than I'd like as it means driving home from town in the dark but I got a last minute appointment due to a cancellation.

A day of bits and pieces yesterday and unsatisfying. Optician appointment, second in a few weeks as I have one pair for for distance and another for music on stage. I have had blood in my left eye twice in the meantime, but nothing to worry about (I hope). Maybe it’s tied in with my high blood pressure…
Post office to return first class my sister’s denture left behind on the bedside table.

Nice FaceTime with flying DD in Zurich, she’s tired as has a batch of short hauls with early starts.
Off to art soon, but feeling unenthusiastic, will enjoy it when I get there.

Morning from a grey S Hants, hopefully a beach walk later and pub tonight. Yesterday we waited in for a parcel, I collected an order from M&S and we sorted out house ‘watching’ for friends. They are off to Malaysia/Australia and NZ for two months, better weather for sure.
Some sadness and worry on this thread today, may they be resolved speedily.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10°, still gloomy and wet and windy. Cornergran I'm sorry to hear about your Dil. I hope the hospital gets to the bottom of the problem quickly. Ash your church joining with another seems to be very common nowadays. My church is doing that too. RosesandLilac I downsized five years ago when I moved into my bungalow and was ruthless in clearing out stuff. I've kept it going and review my belongings each January/February. I have a bag ready to go to the charity shop.
Yesterday my art class restarted and one of my friends has turned up! It was nice to see her. I'm a bit downhearted because I don't think I'm improving and I looked at what my friend was doing with pastels and was astounded at the quality of her art. I've ordered accessories to see if using them will help the fine detail.
Today I'm meeting a friend for breakfast at the local garden centre. Normally we meet on a Saturday but she has commitments tomorrow. Dd is going to nip down with dgs2 and say hello.
This afternoon I shall persevere with the drawing I started yesterday. Then a bit of knitting I think. Burger and chips for dinner later. Have a good day all

Good morning from a dry greyish Suffolk after a glorious sunny day yesterday.

I’m meeting one of my closest friends for lunch. As we haven’t seen each other for nearly 3 weeks as she has been visiting her family in the SW it will be a long leisurely one.

I hope that there is some sunshine in everyone’s day,especially those who are unwell or caring for others.

We’ve another little coastal walk planned today, nothing too strenuous as I’m not very good in the heat, especially as it’s hilly. We’ll be on the lookout for a nice bar with a view to rest our weary feet.

Good morning from a cloudy, mild Cornwall. Fabulous day yesterday at my favourite beach, Perranporth, where I lived during one winter. Lovely firm sand for my crutches and a quiet time spent in their dinky library, reading Alan Bennett's Covid diary. Afterwards I sat in the sun and was glad I'd put on Factor 50. It felt like a mini-holiday.

Today I'll take a bus trip to a large charity shop and hopefully find a hoodie I can take apart.

I have forgotten what it’s like to get a teenager up, showered and ready for school…

DS’s lady who does is here any minute, so not a lazy start to the day. I shall read and relax until other GS wakes up (probably lunchtime-ish) then we will stroll along the beach road to a nice cafe/restaurant on the beach for lunch.

Good morning from a dull and grey Black Country, where at least it is dry!

Lovely day visiting DB and SIL. Filled in some forms regarding Mum, then a Pizza for lunch and a walk around the fields and the river near their village.

Pleased you enjoyed Birmingham Pantglas we go fairly regularly as we have Symphony Hall, Town Hall for concerts and gigs, and 3 Theatres as well as smaller venues. A GN meet is planned there very soon too.

No real plans today, probably gym this morning.

Thinking of all with struggling and with health worries, especially Urms and Kalu

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’m still in bed - I was still awake at 1 am!
OH has an appointment at the local hospital this afternoon with a Urologist. He isn’t looking forward to it. I will drive him there and back. His various ailments are piling up so he isn’t a happy bunny.
