I know someone who responsibly breeds Bengal cats, they belongs to the official bodies and are registered.
Why not? Some people sell all sorts of things others might find offensive and fund their holidays, it’s one of the things people go to work for.
I sniff possible sour grapes with the little information we have.
I know someone who breeds dogs, very responsibly, and without her that particular breed of lovely dog might well die out.
I also know people who farm rare breeds of animals, keeping some ancient species going.
Of course, they sell them, buy in new stock to avoid interbreeding. It's called conservation.
Of course they have to make money, otherwise they wouldn't be able to continue.
(Are you reading this, Adam Henson? 🙂)
Breeding animals for money
Quite unpleasant in my opinion
Of course there are unscrupulous, irresponsible breeders and the authorities should clamp down on these people and shut them down.
However, it is a subject which is so diverse it cannot be described in such a sweeping, dismissive way.
