For the last six weeks I've been at home almost 24/7 the reason being I had a tibial plateau fracture. Luckily it seems if I take things carefully I've avoided surgery. Told to rest, walk for only 20 minutes, no driving because of manual car and see surgeon at beginning of February when hopefully all will be healed. The good news is that we decided to trade in our 10 year old car for a newer one (I'm the only driver, DH has mobility problems) which is slightly higher and will probably be better for us both. Its being delivered tomorrow and is an automatic. I've been out for a test drive which went well.
My problem is that my confidence is at zero, worrying about the new technology I'm going to have to learn with the car, going to the supermarket again, just life in general. This is most unlike me as I normally approach everything head on. Anyone got any tips? I sound really miserable and helpless which is not me at all.
