Just for fun, nothing explicit please.

No you're not. I said Alan Rickman first!

Colin Firth’s Darcy, emerging from the lake does nothing really for me to be honest. 🤷‍♀️

There's a queue, Esmay.
And I'm at the front😉

I also found Alan Rickman incredibly sexy .
And so is Bill Nighy .

The film "Witness" is powerful because it's so emotionally tense - full of conflicting feelings.
The scene where John Book is repairing his car in the barn and it leads to him dancing with Rachel is both sexually very tense and also warm and kind. Not even a kiss.

I was going to post a link but realised it really needs to be seen in context to read so powerfully.

Some of these highly charged moments need the "backstory" and emotional build up to be truly powerful. It's often the things around them that give them meaning.

On a different note I do so love the barn-raising music in that same film.
I'll post a link to that I think.

Nothing to be sorry for Whethertomorrow, a fun thread.
For me it has to be Sean Bean as Sharpe in those breeches. Wow.

Thank you all for making this thread just what I was hoping for, a light hearted remembrance of joyful memories in movies and TV. After the first harsh response I was left in tears thinking I was going to be viewed as a dirty old woman. Thank you all for entering into the spirit of my post.

What a strange response, to link the joy of breast feeding to ‘the sexiest thing you remember ‘

Breastfeeding my babies - nothing I ever did replaced the love, intimacy and pure happiness of these times.

i agree, but that is something else entirely, not what is being talked about on this thread.

For me? Breastfeeding my babies - nothing I ever did replaced the love, intimacy and pure happiness of these times.

I agree with grandMattie - the sheer bliss on my babys face after feeding was pure contentment and happiness for me.

Apart from that? Paul Newman with those piercing blue eyes!

It has to be the kiss scene between Madeline Stowe and Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans. It was so highly charged and erotic it had me tingling for days.

Alan Rickman in anything for me too including Severus Snape.
That reminded me of Christopher Lee as Dracula. Oh dear, I seem to be attracted to the dark side. It must be those billowing capes.

1953 Deborah Kerr and Burt Lancaster in From Here To Eternity lying on the beach out of the sea in what can only be described as the sexiest clinch ever seen on the screen before. Gasps were heard from the cinema audience and to me a 16 year old on a first date with a new boyfriend well I didn’t know where to look but I’ve had a good look since and I still think it’s got the wow factor 😜

Or Alan Rickman in “Truly, Madly, Deeply”?

Was going to agree with Alan Richman as the Sheriff of Nottingham but then someone mentioned Omar Sharif.

Ailidh I've just watched that, it's made my day. Mark Harmon is definitely my all time pin up. A man that's improved with age, DH always jokes that he wouldn't stand a chance if Gibbs came knocking.

Glad to help 🙂

I watched "Yankee White", the pilot for NCIS, last night, for the 448th time. Still good!

My DD, then in her mid teens, commented that she had heard a “really weird” programme on R4.
Upon questioning, it turned out to be one called “Better than sex”, where interesting people spoke for 15 minutes on just that. For one, it was getting locked in a bookshop overnight, another, it was feeding pelicans, another eating the very first pear grown and ripened in their garden, and so on.

A YouTube video of Leroy Jethro Gibbs set to "Un point c'est toi" by Zazie.

It's all good (and very innocent) but the wow bit for me is right at the end when he says "Wow", very softly. Phew.

Omar Sharif, in a haze of heat, riding his camel in the desert. ( Lawrence of Arabia)

The stunning photograph of Princess Margaret taken in the bath and wearing nothing but a tiara. It was taken by Anthony Armstrong-Jones back in the 1960s but not made public until the early 2000s. Margaret was a beautiful and talented young woman and I often feel sorry for her in that her abilities were wasted by a stuffy regime.

Just watched a very phwor moment from First Knight with Richard Gere as Lancelot seducing Guinevere with just a look and a breathy kiss. They were alone in the forest which is of course a great place to look into those brown eyes of his. You knew she was his for evermore no matter how much she protested. Powerful stuff.

Colin Firth emerging from the lake is definitely up there with my best moments.

Definitely please don't leave, whethertomorrow. No need to.
Absolutely Poldark for me. Aiden turner riding his horse across Cornwall is forever in my mind
