Just the right sort of evening urms. You’re right about simple pleasures.
I’ve had an unsettled day. After being full of beans yesterday evening Mr C woke sneezing constantly. We thought nothing of it, other than where did I put the anti histamine. I disappeared for my (unhelpful!) GP appointment and returned to find a very poorly man. It scared me as he couldn’t support his weight, temperature soaring and struggling to speak. All in less than an hour.
Settling him back in bed out came the covid tests and yes, positive. He’s slept for most of the day, temperature is reducing, he’s now walking to the bathroom fairly steadily and is of course assuring me he’s OK when he obviously isn’t.
We’re both worried in case our Wonder Woman has picked it up, Mr C will be devastated if she has covid. Sadly we’ve had to cancel Mondays appointment at the Heart hospital. In spite of the best efforts of a very kind young woman no space for Mr C to be seen until January. Nuisance sums it up.
My covid test was thankfully negative, with luck it will stay that way. These things are sent to try us and goodness, life seems to be trying at the moment.
I heard today that our dear friend has been asked to move from her care home, not that she knows or will remember when told. I won’t give details except to say she’s done nothing wrong. Our goddaughter is distraught, spent a long while venting on the phone today. I’m more than worried about our friends well-being and at the moment have little head space or I’m sad to say patience with her daughter. They live across the country, I can offer no practical help which adds to my worry.
Forgive me if I’m awol for a while until life settles again. It will of course, just a bumpy patch.
Goodnight, sleep well everyone. TOYA.
