Time is most definitely elastic, in that certain memories, for example the birth of our daughter in 1973, are as fresh as a daisy, yet ask me what I was doing last month and I may struggle. Strange that, isn't it? I'm now pushing 80, and to say that time flies doesn't begin to get there. Our daughter will be celebrating her 50th in July, yet it seems no time at all since I was celebrating my own. What a lovely surprise party the family arranged for me, and once again, those memories remain vivid... and yes, when I have to fill in a form on line which requires year of birth, I'm conscious of the fact that there aren't many more years of scrolling possible below 1947 now! Still here though, and living each day as if it might be getting close to check out time. Carpe diem!
