I think the question is why her parents have chosen that she is known as Princess?
I must admit I was surprised, I thought the approach taken by Edward and Anne with their children would be the way Harry and Meghan would go, because being a princess is for life, she won’t be able to shake it off.

This was a deliberately provocative announcement given the Palace website still lists her as Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor. Why on earth, given Harry's hatred of the Royal family and its practices do they want her to be styled 'Princess'?

I think it's because as you've posted Rosier, it's deliberately provocative.

Some are saying that Markle announced this to change the publicity after South Park, Frogmore saga etc.

Oh, of course, his title then was just going to be ‘Earl of Dumbarton’, one of Harry’s ‘spare’ titles.

That’s not the case. Anne and Edward both chose not to have their children designated as princes and princesses, Andrew did, so his daughters are princesses. That’s why it surprised me, I thought he would not want to do what Andrew did.

Is “Princess” just a first name or an actual title?
