Jewellery - how much, and how often?

I always have two gold sleepers in each ear.

That’s about it for regular jewellery wear.

Been married nearly 50 years, but have only ever worn my wedding and engagement rings for going to work and going out. Now I’m retired, often don’t wear them for days. The wedding ring is broad, and although my fingers and joints don’t seem bigger, it can sometimes be too tight, especially in hot weather.

Have other stuff I sometimes wear for special occasions.

Several pairs of earrings, but can’t be bothered to keep changing them.

I only wear my wedding ring, I have been divorced for five years and just never thought about taking it off, not for any particular reason I think it is just because I am used to wearing it.

I admire other people's jewelry however do not feel comfortable wearing it myself, it makes me feel like I am playing dress-up.

Never been into jewellery really. I have a Clogau Tree of Life ring of my mother's and a gold chain with a cross and a locket (inside is a picture of my mother and father). Both I wear for protection when traveling. I rarely wear anything else except on special occasions when I raid the jewellery box. I will get the pearls out for weddings.

I love jewellery. None of it is expensive. I wear my mother's eternity ring and a Celtic silver one bought in Wales. I've loads of earrings, and swap them every day. Also beads or pendants, and bracelets in summer. I'm never without jewellery.

During Covid, because of all the hand washing and my poor dry hands needing lots of hand cream, the only jewellery I wore was a pair of gold earrings. I’m now back to my usual - wedding ring, engagement ring and ruby ring (which I got for our 40th anniversary). I also usually wear a gold bracelet. I sometimes wear a Fitbit, sometimes my gold watch.

Over the years I've bought several pieces of vintage costume jewellery, including a lovely Venetian glass necklace (foil rather than metallic paint inside) which needs re-stringing. Most of them have large beads which suit me as I'm now rather large.

When I was much smaller I always said that I didn't want an engagement ring unless it could be the size of the rock given to E Taylor by R Burton. I never did get one which didn't matter because I didn't see the point of spending lots of money on a tiny diamond chip.

2 eternity rings i wear every day....earrings only if I'm on a night out....watch and 2 silver bangles that I wear for lunch or night out
....thats about it....not really into jewellery

Covid kind of did for me and jewellery.
Trying to manage earrings, masks, hearing aids..
I used to wear some pretty little silver star earrings that caught the light.
I can't be bothered now.

I love earrings and have boxes full, I've a thick gold chain bracelet a silver bracelet, a gold chain and pendant and my wedding ring

I have 72 pairs of earrings all cheap and cheerful, some were presents and some charity shop finds I am NEVER without earrings I have a chakra bracelet on left arm, watch on right and a variety of pendants short and long wear a variety every day
I keep my earrings in ice cube trays 12 to a tray and then these are in my top drawer of my bedside cabinet

I love wearing vintage costume jewellery which I have collected for many years. I rarely pay more than £15 for anything. It gives me great pleasure to match my necklace/pendant/bracelet to what I’m wearing each day. Charity shops are great for finding fun jewellery.

I am often complimented on my jewellery especially a long necklace with about 40 amethyst coloured round glass tiny baubles for which I paid £1.00.

Go for it Daddima this could be a new interest for you. My son lives near Brighton so I have bought a couple of brightly coloured necklaces in the Lanes.

Not very much, to be honest, Daddima. I wear my Grandmother’s wedding ring and her single diamond ring, set in gold. My OH bought me a gold & emerald dress ring, a rose gold chain and locket, diamond ear studs and a gold & diamond bracelet some years ago, which I wear occasionally, and I also have a Pandora charm bracelet. I have some silver jewellery, which I sometimes wear when out during the day. They’re not of great financial value, but mean a lot to me.

I wear silver ear rings daily. If leaving the house for other than dog walking purposes, I add a silver bracelet. Serious outings like weddings involve silver necklaces

I have a necklace that I always wear and rarely take off, engagement ring, wedding ring are always worn and earrings as and when I remember.

I have a box full of good jewellery and a box full of lovely costume jewellery, but I never wear any of it. Not sure why though, it seems a shame.
