In a lively debate talking over people as I am so eager to speak. Impetuous, often resulting in disastrous decisions. Not listening to advice. Droning on about things. Impatient. Oh dear - I could also list about twenty more annoying habits....it's a wonder I have any friends at all.....
I'm constantly told I am very negative. I prefer to think I look at all angles in case there is something that might be a disaster later. Seems more like common sense to me.
Poor timekeeping, apparently. I never arrive ahead of time for anything, don't see the point. When I worked, I would enter the building one minute before I was due to start work. When I arrange to meet people, I get there on the dot. Well, usually - I am often 5-10 minutes late. I live about 3 minutes from the train station, and I usually walk onto the train just before the guard blows the whistle for departure.
I am not a good listener. I start off ok but my brain wanders in the middle of what is being said. Actually, I do it when I am talking to so may stop dead in the middle of a sentence leaving my husband hanging. I've tried to do something about it but it just happens. Research shows that I may be ADHD!
I am a hopeless housewife. I start something, get side tracked ad infinitum. By the end of the day I have not achieved a noticeable difference. I get easily overwhelmed by the amount of housework needed so I put off doing anything.
I can't go into a restaurant and order a meal straight off the menu. My husband says they end up serving me a dish they didn't even know they did!
Dealing with questions and discussions too thoroughly, elaborating on the issues beyond a simple response. Depends on the other person whether this is a problem or not: some people want a yes/no answer in simplespeak and others want a more considered, explanatory complex answer.
Definitely my anxiety is the worst thing. “What If?” is my catch phrase!! Worry about everything in advance- even nice things. The original Mrs. Worry Guts
I seem to have a really unfortunate ability to accidentally make people to tell me things that they haven’t told anyone else. It happens all the time.
Then after people have spilled their deepest darkest secrets / thoughts/ confessions etc often looked shocked thst they’ve done it. Homely it’s like I inadvertently hypnotise them. I can’t even imagine how annoying that must be for people.
