What a shallow man. Two weeks with a pretty face and he leaves his wife of ten years.
I just hope the young woman will be alright. She must be vulnerable and this man has taken advantage of her. Typical sleazeball.
What a difference a day makes 😢😢

Did anyone see in the DM today about the British couple who took in beautiful 22 year old refugee from Ukraine and shortly after then the man dumped his partner of 10 years and ran off with her. Apparently ‘they had a connection from the start’.
I feel so sorry for the mans partner of ten years. What a betrayal. Talk about no good deed goes unpunished ! Men are faithless creatures.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this young lady doesn’t get fed up and dump him before too long. I just hope his previous partner doesn’t take him back if he comes crawling home.

It should come as a suprise but sadly it doesn`t.
FannyCornforth your Stanley Johnson story made me feel quite sick. What a slimy creep.
Kandinsky I think it is rather cynical implying a lot of people taking in Ukrainians are doing it for the wrong reasons.
It could be argued that the "wronged" woman might (eventually) be glad that her rat-fink partner has done this. At least she knows now just what he's like. Hopefully she can move on (and perhaps in the future find a decent guy), before she wasted any more years with this slime-ball....
I have many times in the past taken strangers into my home from all over the world BUT I wouldn’t do it now I m older much too set in my ways and like my independent space
The best Christmas I ever hosted included an Iranian man a chines lady a Malay man and an Ethiopian guy my kids all grown and left home called in and we had a ball we sang we danced we went for a freezing cold walk They were all lovely and I can truly say it was the best Christmas ever
I think it’s hideous the way people talk about Ukrainians being ‘like us’ what a load of tripe Skin colour and clothes make not a jot if difference
I don’t think that some families taking in Ukrainian people have thought the implication through thoroughly and are being ruled by their heart. These people have seen and experienced really dreadful things and will be traumatised. Apart from wife/ husband “ stealing “ there is a strong chance of fear, upset, breakdowns and very difficult situations to be managed by the hosts. It won’t al be compatible, making meals together and children integrating but may be some very distressing outpouring of past experience to deal with. I hope the British families taking in Ukrainians will be well supported but what if not ? Who can they turn to ?
And how exactly do we know that the young woman wasn't pressurized or threatened into running away with the man?
Or that the man and his wife were happily married?
He may be faithless as you say, and the young woman may be naive, but she could, just could, be the victim here, just as much as the betrayed wife.
This man may have used a vulnerable girl using the oldest line in the world; "My wife doesn't understand me.!

Sorry but I think he is particularly unpleasant. This is a relatively young woman, we have no idea of what atrocities she has seen or trauma she has been through. Alone in a strange country not knowing when she will return home or what is happening there. Its possible she seduced him but the more likely scenario is she was very vulnerable to that approach.
I know a women from Ukraine, she has lived in England for 20 years so not a refugee. She looks permanently traumatised every time I see her.
Yes, he a special piece of shit isn't he? preying on a vulnerable young woman he took into his own home fgs
she IS the victim
she is 22
a refugee
she has been sent here and into their home for SAFETY
and has been sexually preyed upon whilst an older man, her host, whilst in need and trauma
there is no discussion to be had
How must Ukranians laying down their lives for their country feel should this sort of news concerning one of their country womans conduct with a UK host, reach their ears?
Has this lady made a complaint.?

I would hope that they've seen and heard enough about the treatment of women to sympathise.
Oh I have just had a little google. How strange he found the government matching service too cumbersome so arranged the match himself through social media.

god you couldn't mke it up
It’s a bit like sex tourism isn’t it?
Only more convenient
Yet it's the woman who gets the blame ?
The bad things stick in my head. A family here in the Midlands took in a young homeless man a few years ago and treated him with 'utmost kindness and generosity' according to the judge at his trial after he murdered the woman and her son.
Yes I know it's rare and very unlikely but it makes me wary.
This man sounds like the sort of men who hang around women when they see they are vulnerable - widows, the bereaved, the betrayed, or otherwise fragile.
Out they come from the woodwor hoping to capitalise on someone else's misery for their own ends.
I think this story was published because of it's rarity. Certainly the news of it has generated much interest.
The couple rent a house, so they perhaps have some room.
Why did they sponsor a single young woman?
Company for the woman? Child minder for their two?
Why not an older single woman, or with a child of her own?
The man found the national registry time consuming.
So he went on Face Book. Got to see the woman first himself.
Fancied what he saw? Maybe communicated with her?
This kind of story isn't the norm, and it most certainly sells.
stories are picked up from local news via news agencies.. everything isn't sold to the press...half of it wouldn't be interesting enough

They are both to blame, he is a Creep, and at 22 she is old enough to say no. He makes me sick, but not all men are faithless, and like him Thank God.
I think their are alot of genuine people who want to help, this guy is just revolting and he seems proud of himself.
Didn't take long did it and no doubt this could make some think twice?

I agree, I have to say I would not take anyone in, but I admire the people who genuinely want to help, not this vile man.
