I so wish I'd been born with a 'savoury tooth' not a 'sweet tooth'. I've lost count of the diets I've tried and failed miserably and it;' always because of giving up the sweet stuff.
My DP has type 2 diabetes and has a really sweet tooth, and I was discussing various blood sugar issues with his quite stern diabetes nurse. I confessed to not being particularly empathetic because I don’t really have that much of a sweet tooth. I said my favourite ‘naughties’ were mostly savoury things - I love bread, chips, cheese, crisps etc. She looked me straight in the eye and said ‘that’s even worse’ and asked if I had been checked for pre diabetes !!
