Why would the stock market be badly affected? Given her age it is inevitable that the Queen will not live many more years. There is no problem with the succession. Charles is poised to take over. It will all go smoothly.

The Queen has always kept her own private business to herself, unlike some of her family, and we should respect that. If she wants us to know we will be told.

I'm guessing when you get old, I mean over 80 (?), there are often ups and downs in anyone's health. No point reporting every little illness, but yes if she were terminally ill or about to die.

However, shouldn't she be afforded the same right as everyone else to confidentiality about her health? It's between her and her physicians.
