Good evening everyone.
Just back from a meal at the local Beefeater with my friend across the road.
A very mediocre meal but we had 50% off with a voucher so didn’t feel too bad about it.
We did tell the servers our views but didn’t make a thing of it.
The point was, we really enjoyed our evening, the place was busy, so nice to see, the bottle of red went down a treat, the taxis were on time and reasonably priced, we enjoyed each other’s company so felt it was a result.
I hope most of you have had a good evening and can make the most of the weekend. TOYA and wish you all a good and peaceful sleep.

Welcome! Buffet is ready and the bubbly is chilled. Come on in and enjoy each other's companionship.
Oops, and Doodle and Granmarie
Good afternoon kitcheners. Such lovely flowers Tillytrotter. I hope everyone is well this afternoon. I have been encouraged by Suedonim. The hall cupboard has been gutted, stuff thrown out and storage boxes put to good use. I've got all the housework done, been to Aldi and I'm about to tackle the spare room wardrobe. I have no idea where this burst of energy has come from, but I'm making the most of it while it's here. Lemon muffins on a doily for you all.
It’s obviously catching, as I cleared out the under stairs shoe cupboard yesterday.
I have to admit to being rather embarrassed at the number of items of footwear I possess. (I am not even going to include those in shoe/boot boxes in my wardrobe)
I sorted the shoes on my shoes rack the other day Gg. I'm not entirely sure why I have so many pairs of boots as I almost always wear the tan ones that are 10 years old at least. I really shouldn't wear them all the time in case they collapse but they are so comfy.
Beautiful arrangement Tilly. I’m just back from my walk and Mr. B is making coffee, he’s a keeper
We have some oatmeal cookies to share.
Blossoming Your hair is beautiful.
I am a tad busy right this minute. Not, might I add, doing useful housewifely stuff aboot the hoos. Oh no! I am sketching a pussy cat portrait. Also managed to watch some tennis highlights. I so enjoy tennis.
You lovely lot have been mega busy. It appears that Meat Loaf's rendition of 'Bat Out of Hell' has been played with gay abandon. Even our eleven year old grandson is a fan.
Tilly I dare not imagine the taste of Turkish Delight. The temptation to eat some of yours would overwhelm me. I am trying really hard to cut back on the carbs. It's such a bore. However, I must do my best to be in fairly good shape for the surgery.
Blossoming I'm very sorry, I missed your photo. Your hair is indeed very lovely. Tillytrotter I am excessively fond of Turkish delight but, being diabetic, it is barred. Sigh.
ann I like hearing that you are enjoying more outings with your friend.
Tilly The flower arrangement is delightful. The jug is perfect for the display.
Away to tidy the so-called studio. Still cannot contemplate de-cluttering. Any dear Granspals prepared to lend me a hand? Thought not.
Until we meet again. TOYA

Thank you Soop and * Grandmabatty*. I must seem terribly vain, but I’m so pleased with the way it looks since I dropped the dye. Embrace the grey, as they say.
Good afternoon dear kitcheners - I've had a lovely quiet bookish sort of day. Just what I needed after the week I've had!! Tilly those flowers are beautiful - I really must order myself some when I do my sainsbury's shop this week. Blossoming I'm loving your hair ?. I'm at the stage where I'm not sure what to do with mine ?. Pizza and garlic bread is in the oven and Sheffield United got three points this afternoon - what more could a girl ask for?? A gorgeous ginger cat who has just jumped up on my lap ? ?
Hello Duncan you lovely boy ?!
Your team did well today BladeAnnie ?
Wishing everyone a “Good evening”.
Hi all, what a lazy day, newspaper, over to see Finley and the curry with turkey and sweet potato is poised to reheat.
What gorgeous flowers Tilly I too love the jug.
Footwear under the stairs is my next challenge, I reckon there’s 4/5 pairs can go, plus a pair of slippers that are just too small.
The birthday boys house was hectic, as only it can be on a birthday with three cats as well (two hiding).
Enjoy your evening all x
PS he’s getting his helicopter to fly!
JaxJacky I thought he looked very absorbed! I've had baked potato with beans and cheese for tea and it was lovely. I've also had a couple of glasses of chateau neuf du pape which have also been lovely. However I've developed a sore throat which is not lovely. This blooming virus is very annoying. Have a good evening Kitcheners.
Hi lovely kitcheners just popping in to say hello and catch up on all the news
We got safely back home to Inverness station first thing this morning then straight round to DD2 house as she cooked us a yummy breakfast. The days been spent helping out with the DGC and their various activities and a bit of shopping in town.
A quick and easy tea from M&S and then that’s us done for today
Enjoy the rest of Saturday everyone and TOYA
Good Evening soop. The kitchen is feeling very cozy tonight.
That's some serious concentration Jax. Did he succeed?
I too love the jug Tilly and must search for one. It's the second lovely jug I seen recently used for flowers.
Glad you got home safely brook. It's alway feels good to get back after a long journey.
I do hope the throat eases soon Grandmabatty.
Back to my G+T. No call from DS yet so??for tomorrow. We have a friend arriving very late tomorrow to help MrM build a stud wall with door in our new build. They have given themselves three days to complete it. I am trying to talk MrM into some lovely green tiles I have found for the new kitchen. Samples are arriving next week.?
Enjoy your evening everyone. There's some marmite + cheese straws by the half empty bottle of gin.
brook I’m assuming you took the sleeper? We had a big ‘training’ holiday planned in Scotland for 2020, obviously didn’t happen.
That really is a beautiful vase of flowers Tilly Thankfully I hate Turkish Delight so no extra calories for me.
TOYA
Thanks for the lovely spring flowers Tilly they do look lovely in the kitchen
Great photo of the birthday boy Jax I hope Finley has enjoyed his birthday and had lots of cake??
Hope your sore throat gets better soon grandmabatty take care and look after yourself
Thank you Muse and Brook. It's been some virus! I do feel much better though. I'm watching a lovely series called Hidden Assets which is mainly Irish. It's very tense. Then an early bed for me. G'night all.
That’s right Jax we got the Caledonian sleeper train that left Euston at 9.15pm last night and arrived Inverness about 8.15am this morning - they’ve got different types of cabins which we’ve had before but they’re a bit expensive so this time we just had the reclining seats which were fine ?
What a shame your holiday didn’t happen Jax hopefully you can re plan for another date soon
Thanks brook we’ll pencil that in. They went for lunch at one of those international food all you can eat buffets, his choice, an hours walk was required afterwards!
Good you’re feeling better Grandmabatty we’ve recorded that.
Good luck with the stud wall muse many hands..
