anyone tried the new online Wordle word game?

I did not do it in 2!! I did it in 4! Sorry for mistake

I use the same starter word as it nearly always has 2 or three letters. I go on the saying, ‘ why fix if it isn’t broken.

Different starter word each day.

Thinking what 5 letter word to use for Wordle is one of the first things I think of when I wake up.......along with what to have for dinner and what to wear!

I tend to look round and focus on an object that has five letters as a starter.
Sometimes it's no use whatsoever

Doodle I always use different starters too.
It adds an element of frisson.
I can also pretend that I’m psychic (so far, all evidence points to quite the opposite)

I got it in 4 today. I also only got one letter the first time round.
I usually use words with vowels in as the same starter but your doing better than me muse so perhaps I’ll be more random in future ?

You’re doing well muse. I’m inclined to think my son’s success is because he’s much smarter than me rather than his theory about the vowels!

Got it in four. Only one letter from my starter word was relevant. Better than none!

Did it in 2 - but had to have a break before I got it as my brain needed a rest!!

I didn't get it at all today, not a word I would have thought of.

Can I ask do you all start with the same word each day? I just use a random word that fits. But my son has suggested using a word containing several vowels. He starts each with the same word and he solves it in 3 and occasionally 2. I’m mostly in the 4-6 category.

I’ve checked back to look at the stats I’ve posted and the letters can’t be seen. I take a snapshot and make sure I crop the bottom off to hide the lower part of the keyboard.

In 3 today. ?on the WhatsApp threads where we share results, we just use the share button and only coloured blocks are shown.

2 today, but was good luck really. I got the last three letters first go but there are loads of combinations for the first two letters.
