GoodMorning all from a dry and sunny Algarve. grandMattie what a very talented gran you are, the needlework gene passed me by too and I’m not so sure about the music one. Although I enjoy music, I can only sing when in a group with others and I’m not too sure about that theses days. Your Grandson looks absolutely charming and how very adult to invite you over for dinner. Have a lovely lunch out celebrating your anniversary.

Aggie yes, frequently! I have ‘left side neglect’ as a result of my brain injury. I can see things to my left but my brain refuses to recognise their existence. There’s a scientific name for it, I just have to try and remember to be careful going through doorways

Hello. It’s a bit grey and overcast in my West Oxfordshire village. I have bits and pieces of WI admin to do this morning. Then OH and I are going out for lunch (helping the economy!) Later this afternoon I will be listening to a free talk on zoom from the National Gallery. It is on Fr Angelico. After that, we are having a zoom catch-up with elder son and his family. I might tell a story or two to my granddaughter. I have a long day tomorrow - a Day School (in person) on the Railways!

No reaction to the flu vaccination, just a slightly tender arm if I brush against anything , does anyone else manage to hit the side of the door frame occasionally? I’m not really that big ?

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle. What a change from dark yesterday! I did get out in the garden though, planted a shrub and lifted more turf. The rain held off till dinnertime and there didn't seem to be much of it.
Today, a little light housework and possibly some picture hanging. The difficult bit is deciding what to put where. The ones I put up previously are still up but they are the lightweight ones.
Outside it's the fourth day of road making. At one end, they are laying blocks at amazing speed. Not a job I envy, moving backwards, mostly bent double.
What a fine-looking young GS you have, grandMattie. A lad to be proud of as he must be of a Gran with such talented fingers. I speak as one with little talent in sewing or knitting. I'm self taught with my own techniques as neither mother nor teachers had the patience to cope with a left-hander.
There seems to be a lot of poorliness and bad sleeping this week, I hope matters rapidly improve for you all. Would some relief night care be possible sometimes harrigran?

Waiting in for alarm engineer to service the alarm, due any time then I’ve got some ironing to do. It’s so sunny I might wrap up warm later and go for a walk.

Yoga this morning and I have the wrong trousers on The day has changed since some classes are not on zoom.
I met the teacher out yesterday and she is looking very fit which is more than can be said for some of her clients

Disastrous start to the morning so the washing machine is full of DH’s bedding, He is now sorted out and I have come back to bed for an hour with somewhat cold cup of tea. Thought I had resolved this particular problem with new supplies so now need a chat with our lovely and helpful community matron. I can’t cope with this every morning.

Both arms sore but glad to have had our jabs. Don’t think there is a lot more we can do, given that we see very few people and don’t go anywhere, and was impressed at the cheerful efficiency of our surgery yesterday. The NHS may be creaking and not always what we want or need, but the vaccine roll out is terrific.

Thinking of harrigran and hope love and support will help her through this painful time. Hope for a good day. I am going back to bed for an hour. What with a 5.30 am start yesterday and today’s little drama it feels like the safest place.

A good night’s sleep for me, which is great, I’ve had some alarming ones over the past few months and as Marydoll said, everything definitely feels worse then.

It’s really beautiful outside just now though, lovely colours of the trees against a blue sky, really raises the spirits.

I treated myself to really nice new bedding yesterday and today’s pleasure is putting that on, simple pleasures!

Good morning everyone from a grey and cloudy Northampton, but it is supposed to be dry. Had a chat with my 'handyman' yesterday and we decided to write off next week as it is forecast wet every day, and he will come to paint the summerhouse on the first dry day after that.

Had a day in yesterday, got lots of odd jobs done in the morning, including removing a blockage from the vacuum cleaner, and spent the afternoon reading.

Will get the bus this morning to our nearby little retail park, have a coffee and bun in M&S cafe, and a mooch around the other shops. I need something nice for dinner on Sunday, and also some new face cream. You have no idea how good it feels to write "get the bus", after spending the last 18 months avoiding them and not going out! I seem to remember that M&S used to do a really nice Chicken Provencal, so may look to see if they still have them. With new potatoes and veg that sounds good.

I have a busy weekend coming up so preparations to be done for that. This evening will be the one that I finish a crochet blanket. I’m itching to start on a new ‘Yuletide’ one.

Good morning from a dull but warm Black Country. I looked at the clock at 6am, the next thing I know it was 8am!

Lunch out today with friends, I will go on the bus as it is only a 10 minute ride away. Trying to use the car less.

What a handsome young man grandMattie how proud you must be. A lovely waistcoat, you are so talented. I am useless at sewing, a horrible teacher who embarassed me over a mistake I made in front of the class in junior school, made sure I was turned off it for life!

Good morning from a wet and gloomy Oxfordshire, we had a great weekend on the IOW, but now we both have the flu and from what I hear on the grapevine, others in our party are also unwell, lateral flow test was negative though. It’s the first time we’ve been away with friends for 18 months and now we are ill…..but we did have a good time.
GM lovely photo of your GS you must be very proud, I made a waistcoat once, I had to do it in an evening and it didn’t hang right, although no one else noticed, it was for a guitarist so it was covered up!
Urms hope you get bette soon, I’m always wary of using my emergency Steroids. Harrigran all good wishes to you.

This morning I have my book club meeting. I enjoyed the book, so will enjoy hearing what others thought about it. ?.
Then off to lunch with our Friday friends. We all used to meet on Friday evenings but now have a lunchtime gathering. We have been meeting up for 50 years plus - the last 30 in the same country pub, with the same landlady who is now 87. Still as sprightly as ever . ???. The menfolk are all old school friends and us gals joined in the gang along the way. All having our golden weddings in the next couple of years. No friends like ‘old’ friends. ❤️.

Good morning all. It’s a brightish start in East Yorkshire and quite mild.

Yesterday I had a good catch up with DIL. Then I had a walk into the village and had a mooch in one of our charity shops where everything is £1 ! I found 2 tops so came home and washed them. One I might wear today. I’m meeting my friend for lunch. Another catch! We will chat about our plans for trips out, holidays and all things Strictly.

I have to do a food shop before that. I am seriously thinking of going back to doing it online especially in the busy weeks ahead.
