Good morning everyone from an overcast ☁ Northampton, but we are due sunshine from lunchtime onwards.
Yesterday I returned to my weekly ballet classes for the first time since March last year, the first lockdown. It felt good to be back and see familiar and new faces. I love the discipline of barre work, but am still at sea and just as lost as I always was when putting a sequence of steps together to make a complete dance! Still, no-one minds, as everyone else is concentrating so hard on their own steps. It felt like a really good workout. I went for coffee afterwards and sat outside the cafe watching the world go by.
This morning I p!an on swapping my summer and winter wardrobes; time to put the sundresses and shorts away!
This afternoon I shall go to the post office to return a gilet that was too big for me, then shall catch the bus to go and have a mooch around M&S food, Sainsbury's etc. A curry to make for dinner tonight, then watch some catch-up tv.
Glad to hear that things went well yesterday, grandMattie, and hope you have a lovely lunch today for Iris's birthday.
And a sad day for you Maw, hope you can lose yourself in the glorious music of the Faure Requiem; happy memories of singing in it twice, at school then at college.
Take care and stay safe everyone.
