Thank you, they’re home, the ambulance dressed and gave her morphine, (she’s 13), hospital removed the skin ?, gas and air, redressed it. Reassessment tomorrow at 5, burn was from hip to mid thigh. It was the not knowing for me at home, nothing I could do, mightily relieved now. Our NHS are brilliant. X

Very quiet, think everyone is in the Argy, ? to Grandmajet daughter and granddaughter on their way home from A&E, GD spilt boiling water down her front, ambulance job, she’s ok, back tomorrow for assessment, on my daughters 34th birthday. A traumatic four hours, hope your Friday has been calmer all.

Afternoon all, it’s very hot and humid here, think we may be in for a thunderstorm later. The plants could certainly do with some rain. I have managed to get out for a walk every day this week, albeit very short walks some days. Mr. B and I had a day out at Morecambe Bay yesterday. We didn’t go into the town as it looked rather busy and I and my dodgy balance don’t do well in crowds. I have sorted out several pairs of shoes for the charity shop, many in boxes. I have tried so many different types to suit my poor balance and drop foot, but decided after my cancer diagnosis that I was done conforming to society’s expectations. If I want to wear a ballgown and hiking boots then I will! Just call me RebelGran

My DD favourites were Mr Ben, Bagpus and Fingerbobs. Mine too.

I was 11 when we first got TV in Scotland, so I was too old for Andy Pandy. My sisters, a bit younger, would watch anything and the little girl next door came round to see it every afternoon. Muffin the Mule (with Annette Mills) was a favourite too. I suppose nowadays, Peppa Pig is the equivalent, as well as the Night Garden characters. All my GC are too big for all that now, but I remember my first GD enjoyed Telletubbies and Balamory. When my sons were little, Playschool was a 'must', to the extent that DS2 called the TV set the 'paycoo'. I liked The Clangers!

Yes I remember Muffin the Mule. Andy Pandy too although my heart secretly belonged to Teddy. I loved him best.
Woodentops was a big favourite. Such lovely little stories.
Watch with mother ………..owning up to be old enough to remember it’s predecessor Listen with mother. Those were the days.
I do worry for the young ones in these days of mobile phones. I wish mums and dads would put their phones away when out with their children and talk to them.

Oh I loved the Woodentops.Does anyone remember Muffin the Mule?another of my favourites.
Just about caught up with the washing, the worse part of coming home!Ive also spent ages trying to sort out a rheumatologist referral.MyG.P sent it early April and I’m told it’s still a very long wait.!!Sadly my only option is a private consultation not ideal at all.

A little trip down memory lane Grandmabatty i don’t recall all of these, but I t reminds me of having elevenses, orange squash and a biscuit.

Woodentops was my absolute favourite. I was born abroad, came back with my parents for a year and lived next door to a very elderly lady (she probably wasn't really, but to a 4 year old!!) who had a TV! The TV itself was a revelation but the wonderful Woodentops were a bigger one! Quite liked Andy Pandy too. And the daily ice cream or sweets treat from the elderly lady in question!!

I loved the wooden tops! And Noggin the Nog which was on in the morning sometimes. And the magic roundabout. See what you have (inadvertently) started JaxJacky?
