They say a picture paints a thousand words and there have been some lovely photos on GN recently. I am a visual person and, especially at this time, pictures cheer me up. Autumn scenes, people's gardens, cake baking, craftwork, pets, clothes we fancy buying etc. Even stock images of Boris, royalty etc. What is the general feeling? Are they superfluous or do they add another dimension? Are we "allowed" to just drop them into a non photographic thread?
Can’t post it for obvious reasons, but dd sent me a lovely one last night of 2 elder Gdcs, 4 and 5, curled up asleep together in bed like two puppies - still with their Halloween face paint on since were too exhausted with all the excitement to wash it off before bed!
Oh, @Namsnanny, my Gdcs would adore jumpers and hats like that! Maybe next year...
Oh that’s ungrateful, you put so much heart into it and no other children could have copied your GS’s. Miserable parents - always spoiling children’s fun ?
Oh Thank you Puzzler61 What a nice thing to say. I made them for my GS's then 2ish and 4ish.
I couldn't find a nice pattern so I adapted one by embroidering the cobweb, and making small pompoms for spiders and a big pompom for the spider on the hat!
To be honest the photo shows it in its best light - it was a bit homespun in reality .
