Well now I ve got a dilemma

What a lovely story, well done.

My friends by the sea have a nesting pair of seagulls that arrive on their roof every year and cause mayhem. The chicks slide down to the porch roof, the parents attack the postman who now won't deliver the mail! So they now have some sort of wire contraptions to keep them in one place on the roof! And a postbox by the gate!

They grow up to be pests!! but who can abandon and chick in need.

Well done Bluebell, now when they wake you up at 4 am you will know that it’s only Stephen and I’m sure he’ll bring his babies back year after year!

Seriously though, I’m really pleased that his parents found him, it doesn’t matter what an adult animal or bird grows into I’m sure we would all try to save a baby.
My DD lost all of her chickens to a group of foxes all in one go, but she still rescued a fox cub and took it to the local rescue centre.

Very heart warming story. I love seagulls, that cry just means seaside and happy times to me. Well done Bluebelle.

Thank you for lovely story and pics! Glad he's ok. It happens here all the time (Cornwall innit) but not down chimneys which are mostly capped. The babies tumble off my low roof onto the patio then panic. I wrap them in a towel and plonk them back on the roof. They're always ok but I always feel very protective towards them.

Well I m so happy I ve fed Stephen with a tin of sardines smashed up and given him some water put him on the flat roof by my house and he’s started calling
Within seconds a big old seagull swooped down squawking and they are now together she’s gone off and left him squeaking but been back twice so she’s knows where he is
He’s flapping his wings and trying but can’t take off
I m just hopeful he’s got a second chance bless his heart

Oh good luck. The parents hopefully will hear him and come and feed him.

Well I m awake and I can hear Stephen Sebastian moving around I m not going to look yet I m surprised he’s not squeaking for his mum not had a peep though
once I get up I ll see if he ll be able to take anything to eat and then try him on the flat roof I think I ve heard him having the water his little beak tapping on the flat pot I put in
I think he’s very young
If no parents come forth I ll ring for help

Well, I was hoping to call him Sebastian.

It's lovely to have a bit of nature in your house.

He has water and has curled up to sleep
The sides are too high missadventure ( I think ) well if I find him in bed with me in the morning it will be the first Stephen I ve shared my bed with ???

I think he'll get out in the night
